Is your face on your profile?

Plenty of profiles on here have face pics alongside some very explicit and sexy photos/videos.
I've chosen not to have my face showing due to my profession and living in a small town but wonder if those that do, ever find it causes issues? |

My face used to be on my profile. But apparently local people took that to mean they should rock up at my house at weird hours to offer me a shag.
And my face/boobs/real name ended up on a local Facebook group announcing to everyone I was a slag and a home wrecker (despite me never having even interacted with the person whose wife caught him with my photo).
I live in a smallish town and I think at least half the men are on fab. I'm keeping my face to myself, especially as I don't particularly enjoy being gossiped about. I'm not meeting anyway, so it makes no odds what my face looks like. |

Thanks peeps. I'm over it, aside from no more public face. I didn't actually go out into town much anyway by the time that happened so it hasn't ruined my non existent social life or anything!
And MYB... obviously she stayed with him! |

Funny story, yesterday we were at an event, and then we started chatting to a couple, they were lovely and requested our fab name. When I tried searching ourselves on their FAB I could not find us. I asked if perhaps he had block us. And indeed he had blocked us previously, because they thought were were a fake profile because we don't have face pics.

I use to be naive in thining Fab face pics should be cumpulsory to creating a profile. However, a site with the name swingers in it has a stigma attached and nobody wants to show for fear of riddicule. Even though all the other supposed innocent dating sites are equally if not worse in reality. If Fab dropped the 'swingers' and used 'friends/dates' instead and ommitted the triple x content. Perhaps more users would show. It would eliminate so much wasted time recognising attraction. |

I do.
I always have.
I have a profile & a career.
I have nothing to hide nor be ashamed off, as I am authentic and own it. Shaming or naming doesn’t work with me.
However I respect each to their own, Your choice and reasons are good for me, and mine should be for you. |

I have in the past and almost instantly was recognised. No drama came about it luckily, but there could have. I'm a little more careful these days, being a teacher I'd hate to have to explain that complaint from a parent |

My face picture is on my profile. I’m self employed so nobody to “sack” me.
I’ve had people recognise me on here and in real life, majority usually see me and then run to message here afterwards.
Everyone’s different. |

I used to, but not any more.
People whose profiles say they don’t want to hear about a career or discretion are instantly avoidrd by me. The older I get, the more I become self-assured that being strict with privacy is key and doesn’t need to be sacrificed to prove “fab legitimacy”.
We really don’t live in a kind, tolerant, and understanding world.

No, that would distract from the sites original purpose. I just think it would forego messaging and chatting only to realise, you don't fancy each other. Also. If men had to add and display a verified face photo to join and message, would womens' inbox be so full of unwanted unsolicted cock pics at the detriment of missing the decent approaches? |

I have my face on my profile in spite of being a gigging musician and theatre performer across mid, East and South Devon.
I don't really care if anyone recognises me partly because, so far no one has (as far as I'm aware) and thus I have had no negative experiences.
The thing I would be most embarrassed about would be having to admit that no one seems interested in meeting me! |

We have our faces on, there is no issue with our jobs and if someone recognises us we own that because we aren't doing anything wrong, we are pretty open about it anyways.
We aren't judgey about lack of face pictures because the majority of interactions they get sent in the DMs anyways and each to their own.

It was the bit you wrote about dropping the swingers as it has a stigma attached to it and replacing with friends dates and losing the xxx content that made me think you meant otgerwise. |

I keep my face hidden just to avoid any awkwardness.
Interesting though that people raise that they fear they will sacked for being on here. Maybe people have specific clauses in their own employment contracts they are bound by but I personally can advise this cropped up where I used to work a few years ago when our company tried to bring in a social media policy of what you can and can't do. It ultimately failed (another story for another day) but one employee openly asked about being on such as here? In the end the powers that be deemed such as Fab as "dating sites" so employees were free to be here, or would have been if the "rules" had been ok to implement.
For clarity I am aware there have been at least two police officers sacked "for being on Fab" and the clickbait loving media reported as such. But when you actually study the facts they were actually sacked for other transgressions but both had posted their uniform and badge and police card details which officers cannot do anywhere on line. Not just here. Naming Fab being purely a juicier headline.
However, I am not aware of anyone else losing their job purely for being on here. Although do correct me if that's wrong.

I've never had a facepic on my profile and have only ever shared one privately when I've already agreed to meet someone so despite being here 8 years I could almost say with certainty how many and who have seen my facepic.
Imagine my surprise then when a complete stranger at a social told me they recognised me from my pic in the chatgroup.
I was surprised because I wasn't in the chatgroup and wouldn't have posted a pic even if I had been.
Information is currency in fab and that includes facepics.

A few idiots have recognised Alyson, but gone about it in completely the wrong way so ended up in the block bin....if we were approached in public in the wrong way then I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get a punch in as Mrs would wipe the floor with them, then go to town on them....THEN beat the living crap out of them |

I have my face on my public photos, but I don't have any explicit pictures online - not even in my friends gallery. I don't show anything here that I wouldn't show in a public place.
I don't work in a high profile job, and I don't 'advertise' any activities I get up to on here, so I don't believe I would fall foul of my employers 'disrepute' condition in my contract of employment.
I like to be honest and open with the good people of FabSwingers, and that's why I have a face pic on my profile.
I don't judge people that don't have a public face pic, but if I don't receive a face pic on asking for one then that says more than words can ever tell me. |

Nope, it's never caused a problem. We do occasionally get a message from people we know though.
And we had one single guy "out us" whilst we were shopping with our children. Didn't really appreciate the compliments on my blow job skills at that very moment.

I don't have public face pics up,as I wouldn't want to be approached away from here by anyone. I've seen lots of threads where it's happened to others.
I totally get why people say no face pics due to work, but it's the blank profiles with not one pic that get me.
We can all add a pic that won't identify us to others. |

I never used to show my face, and i was 'outed' via screenshots to my family and boss anyway. Nothing negative happened beyond a little initial embarrassment. So now it's allll my face! Real first name too.
I don't post genital pics on here anyway, boobs is about as racy as it gets on my profile. I breastfed my kid up to 3yo, and when you do that everybody in about a 5 mile radius has seen your tits anyway, so I don't care about those |

I used to have mine up for a short time, the only reason I removed it is because I have a 4 year old, I wouldn't want someone to recognise her dad, see her, point, and be all like "oi oooiiii, your dad's out here tryna bang other fellas wives"
If it wernt for her, I really wouldn't care, I'd leave it up. |

No, I value my safety too much for that. It's bad enough being harassed online, let alone in real life. I get people saying they've seen me in the pub or we must pass each other on the street... I certainly don't want anyone actually approaching me. |

It's not about committing a crime, it's about bringing the company into disrepute (perceived) social media clause is very broad, which makes it ambiguous. For that reason fab is not worth me risking losing my job!
I also like to keep fab and vanilla life separate. So being recognised and approached whilst out and about is not a compliment for me. More like an ambush! |

Some interesting and at times worrying responses here. I'll not be sharing my face pics with anyone unless they've read my profile and want to meet. I'm very privileged to work in a position of great responsibility and I'm sure that my employer and some of the public that I come into contact with would view Fab negatively. The main reason for not sharing though is to protect my kids from embarrassment and bullying if some of the unscrupulous kids at school ever found out.
As many have said, each to their own and respect to those that can own it. |

Posh's tale is awful, and makes me (and all of us probably) angry that we're still culturally stuck in "that place", with women at substantially more risk of vilification than men.
I imagine a lot of trans have already faced so much shit that another idiot picking on them isn't anything too new.
My face is always on my profile, but I can't be hurt professionally or within family, and being a big guy who's comfortable taking on morons verbally that they back off before it gets physical anyway, very few have ever tried their luck at any point in life, FAB or non-FAB.
But all of that places me in a very very small minority of people who have nothing to lose by showing their face.
Most people aren't so fortunate, and I can't wait for our culture to move on so we can all be much more open about so many things, sex only being one thing out of many.
Maybe by 2224.... |

"I've got mine on my profile but not bothed who sees it were all here for the same thing "
The whole "here for the same thing" statement always makes me very confused.
We have no idea what other people are here for. And I'm not here for the same thing as Agnes down the road is... or Barry from the next town over. Agnes wants to peg men with a traffic cone and Barry is looking for a reverse gangbang.
I'm here for the random jollity in the forum, to look at pictures that make me go "ooh" (even though most of them make me go "oh") and to occasionally find a new friend... who chances are I'll not ever be naked with.
And there are some people who spend time on sites like this actively seeking people who can be identified, for a variety of reasons.
So... we aren't all here for the same thing. That's quite an innocent thing to believe, I think |

I show my face on mine, as I don't feel that i have anything to hide. But I was very publicly outed as a Dom whilst in London and took the 'publicity' to make people realise that BDSM is about consent.
Also ended up being interviewed a few times. |
