Trackside pub by the railway has a good range of beers. Blind tiger is a good bar, few little independent food places which are good. Obviously black pudding from the market (go to Chadwick's not bury black pudding company, they are better), there is a good Greek cafe in the indoor market. And if you go to heron foods you can play "smackhead or eating disorder" great game for all the family
