even land and gold go up and down its a job to know where to put savings not sure what to say to mum .... when she ask me wheres best .. Banks was safe now looking over the years whats been going on be last place i was be having my savings , |

Rare, very rare that gold or land goes down over the long term. Maybe she could buy to let, that seems to work well? Depends how much she has got really if it's a lot, good idea to diversify a bit and not put all her eggs in one basket as it were. |

Thats what we do ... we have holiday homes we rent .. my mums old fashioned she like to see it and know it there if she ever need it fast.
