Your Happy and Safe place ?

My English teacher made an old prefabricated hut, on wet, windy and dark afternoon's in South Wales in the mid eighties the happiest and safest place in the world for me, ever.

She was so beautiful with a mellifluous voice. I still vividly remember those times - and her - as if they were yesterday. She had a lifelong positive impact on me, and I suppose, I loved her.

Where were you happiest / safest ?

.

I'm happiest/safest with those I love. Adore. Some people feel like home to me, not sure why, but when being around a person softens my chaotic mind, not adds to it? That's my safe space. My happy home of sorts.

Ahh your hygge sounds amazing.

Mine would be my bedroom when living at my Mums house. I moved in with her as a teen. I remember choosing colours and cushions for my room, she decorated it in dusky pink and grey and put fairylights around it and a lamp, I felt so safe in that room

You are of course absolutely correct, it was her, my teacher, not the physical environment. Perhaps when my Countryman wrote these lines this is what he meant.

“Dark is a way and light is a place, / Heaven that never was / Nor will be ever is always true.”

Thank you ! and your 'hygge' sounds just so. In my native tongue we call it 'Cwtch', the literal translation into English I am afraid does not come close to conveying the true and full meaning.

Have a lovely Sunday.

On the beach even in the winter, it’s the sound, the smell and where I feel most relaxed and clear headed to be able to concentrate and think if something is bothering me.

I live very close to several so I’m very lucky in that respect.
