I belive that those two shouldn’t be linked as when they do its a dangerous trap to fall into. If success is the main reason to be happy its a sure way to burn out. The bar you set for success constantly moves higher and higher to the point where it ultimately becomes unachievable and all previous successes get forgotten about not matter how big they are. Leaving an individual craving more and more neglecting other things.
In an ideal world they shouldn’t be linked but reality is very different

Depends how someone rates success, that's probably different for everyone.
I do think both go together, I am happy in my profession which is successful, I am happy in my home life which is also successful and I m also ready to change it all because it is enough... |

I would say that in the main I agree though different types of success and how that is defined can bring aspects of happiness. Also people have different triggers for their happiness. Some more aroun personal relationships, work fulfilment and even financial status. Good analysis in such a short time though. Let's see what other's think.

I would definitely agree its such a difficult thing to analyse without writing a 10,000 word essay as so many factors are influenced in it |

Are people happy because they are successful in life? Or successful because they are happy? Meaning have all human needs and conditions been met prior to achieving the 'enlightenment'

I think the research showed that there is a link between financial success but it quickly caps off. So being a millionaire doesn't make you happier than being comfortable but being stretched for money definitely makes you unhappy. |
