I saw AC/DC in 1979 with Bonn Scott, and again in 1980 with Brian Johnson on Back in Black ….. never again!
Like most of the bands of that era … whats in the past should stay there … they just ain’t what they were!!

I missed out on getting tickets as I was waiting to see if any of my friends would go. 'Extra' tickets have now been released. Am tempted to go by myself. Might be sitting up in the gods though. Will the acoustics be acceptable? If I can't see them or get to mosh, I'd at least want to hear them properly. |

Have just got back. Initially I did have reservations about whether rhwyd bring the energy. Gotta say, they were all on form. Especially Angus. |

Yeah vocals were an issue. Hence I only gave a 'pass' rating. Unsure whether that was down to his voice, set up or both. But I guess you have to accept this as part of any large outdoor/stadium venue. |

We were down on the floor standing and there wasn't any issues with the sound..... his voice broke a couple of times on the big notes.... but he's in his 70s..... it was a cracking show we loved every second of it |

I'm glad to just keep the great memories of them that I have. "
Thing is diehards still go and see the stones etc, the mostly original members might not be around any more. A gig is a gig no matter what.  |

I waited from 2:30 in the queue and was worth it as I was at the middle barrier and was perfect view and sound. They're going to release a dvd as there were cameras everywhere.
It was a spectacular night. Yeah Brian was struggling on some notes, Angus was a little slower on the intro to Thunderstruck, but it made no difference at all. Hell of a night, hell of a band.
If you have the means, time and inclination, go see them on Sunday if you can. |
