"Try here.
Can't hurt."
^ yep.
Try everywhere op. But my advice you never asked for…. Just know, you are fresh from your last long term, lots of people you are going to talk to might not get it.
It could take ages to find your feet again. You are not the single person you were 20odd year ago, you’ve changed and the dating game has changed.
Its f’cking bonkers trying to do it by text and apps. Good luck ![](/icons/rainbow.png) |

If you are looking for a serious long term relationship, try Hinge. From my experience, users there are much more matured. I haven't found anyone myself, but I have been to quite a few dates. Unlike apps like Tinder where you tend to see lots of people who aren't serious. |

You don't say how long you've split, you just say "recently".
My advice. Don't date.
Spend a year on your own. Learn about yourself. Prioritise yourself.
Go away alone, if you can afford it.
After that time, you'll have a good idea of what you do want.
Good luck.

I’d say start “slowly”, when you’ve been in a relationship for 19 years your expectation of what a relationship is, is very different from starting over again. Whatever site/app you use, try to be considered in your approach and allow things to build overtime. As human beings we can be guilty of “love-bombing” or reading too much into things, forcing a narrative.
For now I would say try lots of different avenues and allow yourself the time to see what builds to the kind of thing you want. |

Some people will tell you to spend some time on your own.
Others will tell you to get out there and play the game.
Both are totally legit options.
I choose to date casually and fuck and explore sexuality and I regret nothing.
The thing to avoid, I feel, is using sex and therefore other people, as a tonic to distract yourself from what you need to process.
That hole you are feeling isn't going to get filled by another person. You need to fill that hole with yourself in order to be whole for whomever you meet.
You don't need to do that alone.
