I'll write an example
Hopefully I will get 2 walks in before the weekend, and it won't rain
Hopefully I will get 2 walks in and it won't rain
Which is correct? I never know where to or whether to put a comma |

"I mean before the and"
Actually, it's OK to use a comma before and only when it separates two independent clauses.
Don't ask me what those are because my head is hurting now from all the thinking |

The first is grammatically correct. Use a comma before a conjunction when there are 2 independent clauses.
'I went on Fab, and I decided to view The Lounge'.
Both independent therefore a comma to separate.
