Ummm it depends - i know my profile won't appeal to the whole site, so i check their interests first to see whether it might be something i might want to consider, but generally constructive feedback is a valuable gift |

"Chatting with a very nice couple who suggested a few b/w photos
I was happy to do so
Wold you take suggestions on improving ones profile if asked ?"
Depends on who the suggestion is from and whether or not I respect their opinion. |

Nope.
I get why some ask for feedback. It's usually because they're not getting the results they seek.
But if you're enjoying life on Fab, it's meeting your needs and all is good, then being responsible for your own text and images is important to me.
Otherwise you're just adjusting it to hopefully appeal to others because you can't think what to write or photograph yourself.
Then it becomes less about you and more about what others want to see. |

"No, I won't accept suggestions on 'improving' my profile. It serves me very well and is adequately optimised to attract the right calibre of people and filter out the detritus."
I'm with you. Been here long enough now to know I have a decent enough one with 437 verifications.
I'll probably refresh the bio soon and add a pic or two as I am missing a sky remote and lynx can, but you can't please everyone. |

Photo suggestions, sure. If it’s someone I’m talking to and they come up with a good idea, I’m down for trying it.
I don’t need help improving our profile though. |

Of course - you probably don’t review your own pics or profile blurb often.
I mean, we try and be original with pics and ideas but definitely open to suggestions.
You should try and do some picture challenges with this couple too OP - they are always fun to do

My suggestion would be to make them a little more interesting / artisic rather than taking a normal photo and then turning them B/W. i.e unusual camera postions / lightning.
Take a look at some of my pics for inspiration |

If I was to accept suggestions and "improve" my profile it would no longer be my profile.
Therefore the answer is no I won't accept suggestions or have any interest in chatting to those who feel the need to dictate what they perceive as improvements. |
