I was once upon a time an average looking bloke …. But it seems age has not been good to me… few more branches hit on the way down the ugly tree
I say this as after sending my face pic to several profiles it has been mostly met by no response 
What realisation has hit you as you’ve aged ? |

My face pic is the clear way to get people to blank me in here too. We can’t do anything about it.
A sign I am old. I have blankets on my sofa for when I’m chilly.  |

That receiving no response after sending a message with a facepic on is the least of my worries. Don't take it to heart. Women get literally bombarded with messages on here! |

I've realised that I was a lot better looking in my 20s and 30s than I thought I was at the time. Too late now. And anyway, it still didn't stop me meeting and marrying the love of my life. |

That whilst I've aged physically I still haven't mentally. Probably never will.
Someone guessed my age as 38 at a bar in Cardiff on Friday (I wish) and someone else told me I looked like Gareth Thomas. I'll take that any day of the week. 
But yeah. Bodies change. That's life and you can't change it.
The good thing is.....it happens to everyone.

I’m sure that isn't true! Everyone knows men get better looking with age !
For me the realisation was that the number really does matter, more so than anything else and there’s nothing you can do about that but accept it & go with it, into it, use it to your advantage.

I've always had rescue cats but 6 months ago I adopted a maine coon kitten while she's very cute and funny I miss the calmness of my old girl. This curtain destroying, 3am toe biting psychopath will be the death of me |

I'm probably not going to get my happily ever after with someone. I'm not going to have the wedding dress of my dreams or the man eagerly awaiting my arrival in it.
I'm most likely not going to find my soul mate.
I am also learning that happy ever after comes in many forms and that a relationship isn't the only way |

My friend met her happy ever after partner when she was 54. "
I think my mum was 56 when she met her second husband and they're still blissfully happy. She never tried online dating though. That's enough to make anyone give up hope.  |

1) That I only really like to do two things in a day, anymore than that and I feel rushed and overwhelmed.
2) That I'm probably a bit boring and set in my ways.
3) I could be seen as having an attractive face in the right light, with enough hair coverage |
