Because it's hell and the odds the crew would be killed is high.
This is not a low intensity conflict or a one sided affair like desert storm was. It is the most brutal conflict since WWII with tactics that are redefining standard military doctrine.
It would also expose just how badly Ukraine is being clobbered and contradict the narrative that the war for them is winnable. |

Maybe cos it will show that the war is at a depressing, brutal stalemate instead of the usual media stories about plucky Ukraine blowing up expensive Russian war equipment? |
