Oh, those sort of unpopular opinions, I was just about to post something that would have sent the site into meltdown

I don't know where to sit with this. Either I disagree and it's really good or its too contrived and trying too hard in the shock value department.
Either way I get why people are taking about it as they sat down as a family over Christmas to watch it together thinking it was good viewing for all! |

I thought it was a good movie. But definitely a bit overhyped. It looks like the film will grab a bunch of oscars too, which is a bit unfair as there are many other good contenders too. |

But seriously, it's meant to be a more attacking way of batting to allow players to bat with more freedom in scoring fast and building big scores quickly. The problem is that against quality bowling, you can end up getting out playing stupid shots. In addition to that, the quicker you build a score, the longer you're in the field over a 5 day test meaning your bowlers get practically no rest. |

Thing is im not sure many people... Watchers or even the players can explain it as it changes. Seems to be anything England serve up when coached by baz. It is also not able to criticise the garbage that gets served up because they have on ocassions done some quite amazing feats. It's great to see the positivity. The notion that the spectators have to accept the brain dead cricket that is played as a price for some of the truly astonishing stuff they have played is flawed though. But is it that India are better at bazball than England or that they play positively but judiciously across a 5 match series? |

I was just in Argentina and they have Islas Malvibas stickers on the trains!
Unpopular opinion for an Irish person but I think their claim to those islands is paper thin. Just an excuse for Galtieri to take the heat off him at the time...and every Argentinan government since has played the same card.
Funny thing is if they hadn't invaded back then there's a good chance Britain would end up giving them the islands anyway. That won't happen now. |
