They often show episodes on ITV3 too.
They are funny, and I love watching them, but let’s be honest .. they are incredibly sexist and misogynistic!! People say they should be banned and never shown .. but to me, I just think it shows how far we have come, and how society has changed.
Watch them in the context of old fashioned comedy.

"I’m surprised the pc and woke brigade haven’t demanded that it should be banned from television "
I think of myself as woke, but I didn’t realise there was a brigade.
How do I join? Do I get a uniform? This sounds like great fun.
Have any TV programmes actually been banned because of changing attitudes? It’s a genuine question.
I thought they just withered of their own accord. For instance, I can’t see many Rolf Harris summer specials getting a rerun, but I think that’s just savvy programming rather than a ban.

"Olive. She very sadly died horrifically in real life yeah she did house fire wasn't it
Yes. She didn't manage to escape - a terrible end for a reportedly lovely woman " . Fair play to Eastenders her character in Eastenders Aunt Sal was given a funeral and lines about The Rag Trade which she was in as well as On The Buses were added into the script that the Mitchell family were having. |

"It’s used to make me laugh that you had these guys in their 50s with comb overs pulling attractive girls in thier 20’s lol"
That always made me laugh as well, it was the same about Quincy too, that house boat he lived on must have been rocking! |

They move to minor channels(although ITV 3 is hardly minor)and still retain their popularity..Comparing Rolf Harris to On The Buses is absurd and shows how some people look for what doesn't exist in places it doesn't exist. The Devils that surround thee liveth only in thine eyes. |

I didn’t compare the two shows ……
Try reading it like this “no one has banned Rolf Harris, so surely by the same token they won’t have banned other shows that are merely dated and not very funny.”
".The Devils that surround thee liveth only in thine eyes."
Try these two
“If the cap fits ….”
“Take the log out of thine own eye before you try to remove the mote from somebody else’s.”

"All the main cast have sadly gone now "
Yeah, they're all dead. Well, if you don't count the kid who played Olive's son in Holiday On The Buses - he's now a commercial pilot.
Ironically, the one of first to go was one of the youngest, Michael Robbins (Arthur). Bob Grant (Jack Harper), also one of the youngest/earliest to die finally succeeded after two unsuccessful suicide attempts.
Most of them resented the damage the show did to their careers, especially Grant, being the cause of his suicide through becoming almost unemployable by association.
Very few people remember the spin-off show Don't Drink The Water, which finds Blakey settling down to retirement in Spain with his sister. |

Not to compare, to illustrate a simple concept. Sorry I didn’t make it simple enough for you.
If you don’t like what I say, maybe don’t quote my posts, which is sort of similar to engaging me in conversation.
