May I choose more than one?
1. A period when Neanderthal and homo sapiens were co existing. I want to see how they all really lived
2. The coronation of Queen Elizabeth first. I'd want a ring side seat so I could witness the pageantry first hand.
3. The funeral of QE1 for the same reason |

OP, can the machine put you where you want to be in location as well as time?

I want to be on the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, landing on the moon for the first time.
I’d like to try out a few historic periods too. Ancient Rome, etc.
And I’d like to have met Outzi, the preserved ice man who’s remains lie in Bolzano, Italy.
Fancy slipping a note into his pocket, which gets found 4,000 years later. On it you warn about Putin and Trump. Imagine the furore!

I think I'd like to see her leave the tower of London the day before and then be at various points along the route. I'd want to be in the abbey on the day, g not row seats but inconspicuous enough to keep my head in my shoulders.
For her funeral I want to flit about at various locations please |

Vegas, 26 August 1969, the Elvis concert that night. I want to be there for the whole thing but specifically for when Elvis sings "Are You Lonesome Tonight" as he changes a lyric to "do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair". After that, he can't stop laughing. Ever since I first heard this version as a kid, I've loved listening to Elvis absolutely losing it and it never fails to make me laugh too. So I want to be there and laugh with Elvis. |

I'd go back to the day I agreed to move in with the man who subsequently became my first husband, and end the relationship. I suspect I'd probably end up in much the same position I'm in now (happy and content) but it would be fun to see how my life ran out differently as a result of that decision! |

Go back to my teenage self, just before doing something incredably stupid. Talk some sense into myself, hopefully not fuck up my health too much.
Go back to when my sister was born, tell her about my dads breakdown. Possibly stop thibgs going too sour later on in life.
Go back to my childhood, try and actually have a conversation with my grandad. As I found out after his death, a lot about him. |

If backwards I'd go back to like 2005-2009 and throw so much money into bitcoin. I'd be so rich now.
