I'm sure whatever our preferences for local meets or how far we'll travel, a lot of us have had some extremely unrealistic messages from people far too far away.
Considering recent-ish messages, I thought the "can you get to x?" where x is a 6 hour drive, each way, and probably £100 in fuel, was pretty hopeful, particularly as a first message, with no prior contact 
However, that's just been smashed out of the park by a guy 2,350 miles away.
It seems a bit of a reach to message random people in the hope they might be planning a holiday there.
What's the farthest/most unrealistic location anyone has messaged from, hoping you'd travel to them, (at your expense, without any prior indication from you that you'd be able/willing to do so)? |

"London, and I did go to meet them in the end for a long dirty weekend, totally worth it  "
I've flown/driven 600 miles (each way) for meets before. They were people who took the time to establish the interest first though.
Those trips have been worth it every time. |

Same, think we chatted best part of a year before making the arrangements for me to visit them. |
