Pontins,the holiday resort that pretty much invented glamping, has been caught out. The call centre were made to look out for Traveller surnames and accents and decline those bookings. I haven't experienced it as I am not from the traveller community but I did once work for a call centre that had a contract with a catalogue company and we were advised to be aware of people ordering from caravan park addresses etc and to flag them up as there was evidence of some people ordering expensive items and not paying for them. We would never refuse a sale at the point of the call but the company was made aware of it and I think refunded the order later before it was shipped out.
It is of course stereotyping and discrimination but many fail to see it due to their own bias towards travellers
