I'm taking myself to Paris next weekend. I've planned the perfect Saturday evening for me. I've bought a gorgeous outfit (that's very OTT)
I'll take myself for dinner and then I'm going to Hemingways for cocktails before being picked up for a private night tour in a vintage car.
I'm very very excited as I've never done anything for me like this before.
To some it might be a bit sad but to me, it's empowering.
Do you wait for others to make it happen or do you date yourself?
And what does your ideal date night look like?

"I date myself weekly.
Sometimes it's just coffee and a walk. Sometimes it's dinner and a movie.
I have dated myself for years"
Love this. Cinema alone is awesome. I take myself places often too. The beach for dinner is my plan tonight!

Wooohooo go on you well done wonderful hopefully you have a grate time
for me there’s so meny perfect date senarios
One off them would be
start the day off with a spot off me and then shopping
Me picking they outfit out and then picking my outfit out for the night
Then off for some mid day wine and giggles as we chat as we get lost in each others eyes
Fallowed by back to the hotel room and get changed in to or evening outfits
And off for a spot off dinner fallowed by a lovely walk and talk across the beach or something
Then wisk back to the hotel room with a lovely bottle off champagne and well the rest I will not tell |

I’ve started doing things in my own, I had to, and I enjoy it. But I did ask someone for a date. …
And she said yes.
I just see it like this, I like someone, and if I sit and wait and she doesn’t know I like her or tell her, she might never know or find out. So, I had to do it.
My ideal date night is food and drink somewhere and hopefully have a laugh. If we left and wanted to see each other again… that would be wonderful. |

I admire this quality in people, yet I don't do it myself too often. I think my life has been such that there hasn't been much opportunity; hence, I am not accustomed to it.
Sounds like a wonderful day you are treating yourself to. |

That sounds really cool. Being happy travelling and adventuring alone is so liberating.
I love going on dates but it’s often a compromise - not many women want to Wildcamp in a desert ghosttown or go backpacking in Syrian-Kurdistan |

That sounds absolutely amazing! Have the best time!!
My ideal night is just us, away from home, not parenting or working just us, that can be a nice drive somewhere, a meal out I don't really care to be honest, a few months back we drove in the storm and sat at the seafront and it was absolutely perfect.

Jeez, I hope you will put out for yourself after all that effort!
Hope you have a great time
I'm easily pleased. My perfect date would be plant shopping, followed by hottub and a night of co-op gaming |

Oh it sounds spendid!
I'm taking myself to Brighton, going for lunch (or maybe dinner) at a restaurant I've wanted to try forever (but is soooooo far away) and will then walk on the beach with a coffee... Bliss! |

The devon hills a quiet country pub down a lane that your wing mirrors catch the bush on both sides a cascading river a warm homely open fire and a pint of your favourite tipple as the landlord chats away in his Devonshire drawl |

I do that kind of things almost every week in different cities around the world
No one is going to love us more than our own selves, so why not?
Enjoy your weekend away and get some photos taken in your gorgeous outfit |

I date myself. This Saturday I’m going to the royal academy of arts to see an exhibition I saw on my commute. One of my friends is now coming but I originally booked for myself.
Other times I’ve gone to exhibitions, then markets then enjoyed a glass of red wine somewhere on my own.
I do enjoy dating myself. But of course I’d prefer to have sex and the end which is the problem. |

Perfect date is unhurried , no preconceptions of how it might go, relaxed conversation, comfortable silences, nice surroundings , informality, connection, drinks, food …. Nothing fancy or complicated |

That's sounds lovely.
I'm scared to travel far on my own, so I'd never do anything like that.
I've thought about going on an Uberboat trip on my own, up and down the Thames. I could read a book as I've seen the buildings along the banks many times already.
I'd buy a drink and a packet of crisps and enjoy the ride.
