I bet there will be arguments in this thread. Mostly people that don’t care about the planet. And the irony is that they don’t care. Si I don’t note why they’re pressed. |

It might be the difference between a campaigner and a champion. On one hand your have Harry on the other you have Thumberg. If they were football teams, England play football and is a champion but it doesn't make them Brazil. |

All I've done is reply to a thread. He's in the UK every second day, flying in from the US when he could zoom testimony, have lawyer represent or just hear outcomes. I've no hatred for the guy - judges have rules in his favour so there's been a case to answer. I didn't even know the thread was about him until his name was mentioned. |

And in raising awareness that something is a problem and it’s something you would do routinely anyway then you could just reduce it a bit.
These things make more impact on a grander scale. If your one flight changes the behaviour of just one or two other people then it is a worthwhile investment. The plan will be flying anyway.
This sort of Daily Mail stupidity does my head in. They really are a force for evil. |

Someone has to do the campaigning, based on the apathy that's widespread and the widespread evildoers who strive to make things significantly worse. Better to put attention onto businesses and government leaders who have no moral compass whatsoever. |

They aren't environmental campaigners, they are celebs who like to jump on a popular cause but don't want to cut down on travel, or if they do travel fly with us plebs or own a car thats not a big polluter |

I am a little torn on the subject of saving the planet. I love our planet, Gaia, mother earth.
From what I can gather, it's not the planet at risk primarily; its ability to sustain human life, is under threat - by humans.
I am kind of looking at our crowning achievement as being history's greatest ever Darwin award. Ironically, this will be the best thing for the planet - less people to fuck it up. |

When high profile people who do a lot for charity have multiple events on in one day, they wouldn't get to them on commercial flights.
The problem is the way we consume fossil fuels; which needs to be addressed, and how we are going forward with alternatives.
If you want to ban charity workers from taking flights for work, you must ban people using airplanes for leisure.
