I'm not anti, and am happy that those who want to, do enjoy it.
Boring day of work to get through and then a great night out at a concert to look forward to. An intimate date with the band and 1700 fans! |

"My legs hurt.
I have to go to the dentist in an hour and I have a serious phobia. So grumpy. "
Squeeze your boobs as the dentist goes in with the scraper each time. Always gets a laugh or comical response |

Valentine's Day has sadly lost its excitement as it was always traditionally the day to celebrate, or even instigate, unrequited love. It used to be that you would send an anonymous Valentine card, and maybe even flowers or gift, to someone you fancied but they might not yet realise this. The card was supposed to be anonymous but there might be clues for your intended to suss whom the sender is. When young if you were fortunate to receive a Valentine it was VERY exciting! Who was your secret admirer??? Did you fancy them??? Would there be some naughty business on the cards??? Oooooh!!!
It worked brilliantly!
Of course circa 2024 Valentine's Day has, via aggressive commercial marketing by companies wishing to sell their product, simply become "Couple's Day" and that's dull in comparison. But before anyone chastises me for the denying the couples their fun too may I remind all that they have their own personal Valentine's Day likely elsewhere in the calendar with an anniversary of some kind that means possibly even more to them.
I lament the passing of the original Valentine's Day as the younger generation are pretty much now denied the sheer fun that was once enjoyed.

We had our valentines meal last night. We brought a load of ingredients each, we were allowed 10 minutes each to start something and the next turn you had to add or start something took about 2 hours but bags of fun |

I agree with this. I’ve never celebrated valentines with a partner or either of my husbands but the anonymous kind is fun. |

Went to the Dr’s about what I thought was just a fatty tissue lump in my thigh, only to be told I need to go for an ultrasound as she didn’t like the size of it (the lump, not my thigh!).
I wasn’t worried but I am now. Happy Valentines Day! |

Wishing you well wishes that it's nothing, but it's good that it's being checked xxx |
