"But do you find the work you do interesting, monotonous, a waste of time or is it people that make your work environment? "
Depends how my health is Frederic.
Good health I smash it and have fun.
Not so good health I hang on and get through but still enjoy it.

I've got to the stage where I don't particularly enjoy work anymore, I work with a lazy bitch whose prime focus is to sit on her fat arse all day, management are aware I do 70% of the work but are weak and won't address the problem.... Ahh well only a few years until retirement... |

I luv my work! Changed career about 6 years ago and now run my own business. I only work 4 days a week and can vary my start/finishing hours as I want or as needed |

I'm in early retirement now, but I've always felt you should only do a job you enjoy doing . Also good work colleagues I always found made the day go faster, as your interacting with them on a good way. |

I do pretty much the same thing every day at work so it does become a bit samey. I don’t love it. I’m not skipping into work with a smile on my face but I like the people I work with so that does make it bearable at least. |

I’m lucky to realy love my job. the weather can be a pain, but take that away and the people who don’t appreciate the weather can stop things, work is always good. |

I’m semi retired working in a new field (no not farming!) but using “transferable skills.” Is your new career completely different to your previous job? Can I ask, was it something you’d waited years to do and wished you’d done it years ago?!!! |

My work is often challenging, and not monotonous at all. Definitely not a waste of time. It's my 13th or 14th job (depending on how I count it), and I think it's the best one I've had. |

Yes, completely different and something I'd thought of while still in school but was dissuaded at the timr. I'm quite happy to have changed this late in life though, I won't have time to get fed up lol and older and wiser and can deal with people better. There is a saying, do something you love and you won't have to work another day in your life |

"I love my work. I would do it as an hobbit even if it wasn’t my job
Yes, same. A chance to wear a long cloak and let my hairy feet breath? Ideal."
Oh!! Hahaha… that might be my favourite ever typo |

Don't worry, I put breath instead of breathe. The irony. |

It's people that make my work environment.
Sorry, I'll rephrase, "It's people that make my work environment the most fucking frustrating place I've ever worked and a living Hell. Cunts!" |

I feel over worked and the pressures stop me enjoying work. I guess it's the joys of working for the NHS and the effect of non stop financial squeezes. Apart from that I like my job but I would recommend anyone becomes a nurse nowadays |
