I thought exactly the same his parents must be so proud of their lad and what he did for others.

I didnt realise how few VC's were awarded since WWII and what they were made from.

Good looking lad he was too. Such a waste of a life. I can't help feeling that it's time to bring them all home now. If the Afghans are ever going to run their own country now is the time to start doing it. If they can't do it they don't deserve another British life lost defending their right to govern themselves.
