Seriously pissed off here, I can't get hold ups to fit me! Yes I am little, Yes I am petite, Yes I have paid for various expensive one's from various stores and they all fall by the wayside or in my case down my legs within 5 minutes of play.

What I get really pissed off is, why are the sites/catalogues aimed at the larger lady but I have never seen one specifically for the more petite, why is that? Why do all the new catalogues advertise from a size 12-32 when I am more petite and really struggle to get clothes to fit? I can't be that unique surely

Same prob here, but different reason.

Im tall, with 33 inside leg. So getting hold ups long enough is difficult. They tend to pull down when you bend your legs.

Makes me laugh when you see clothes that say 'one size fits all'. lol

i cant help with the size thing,, but some advise for the staying up problem...

stockings HQ do a roll on sticky stuff that helps the rubber bit stick.. and I have used water to dampen the rubber bit when out. this helps it adhear to your skin..

hope that helps. good luck in your search. x x

I always wear brand new stockings for a meet because I have this problem, but even a pair £10 a go fall down as soon as I moved last night, not funny! And yes I know my thighs are not the largest but I should not be penalised because the 'said' market is getting bigger....

Next do a petite range and their stockings have been the best I have ever worn. I stock up on them when the sales are on.

I am 6ft and a plus size woman... M&S is the only place I can get holds up from.. As for tights well that is a different story.. Primark tights used to fit me until they changed their supplier and now they are not long enough...

Same problem here, 24" inside leg with thighs. As soon as they are up, they roll onto themselves and fall down to my ankles. A friend advised me that they tend to fit better when the band at the top is quite narrower and she was spot on! Primark are the better ones and they are cheap. I road test them at home but I much prefer stockings and suspenders...no unexpected bad surprise

Nothing worse than when they start riding down as you walk, end up loooking like you have a pair or turkish trousers on ( joined at the knee). They do tall sections in some shops but the selection is awful, just long jumpers etc. Next tall range is ok, but again not much of a selection. moan moan moan. lol x

I have totally the opposite problem, I'm tall and size 18, most hold ups disperse the fat into the wrong place! makes my legs look like have a tourniquet around each one... They also roll down constantly and are never long enough..... Guess ill stick to the stockings! Lol

Aw I've tried, love m&s stockings but the hold ups make my legs look weird. Bumps above and below the top of the hold up... Someone suggested a bigger size but then they fall down! It's costing me a fortune testing them all lol

I blame my mother.... Passed down the tree trunks!

mrs saucy swears by primark hold ups.

try heating the elasticated band at the top of the holdups with a hairdryer, this makes it tighter.a bit like shrink wrap.

or just wear suspenders,it's a win win thingy, well it is for the guys.

Really?? I bet you can find sexier bra and knickers sets than I can. I bet you can walk unto Ann summers and buy stuff from there. There are loads of shops that cater for the smaller sized women. What do larger ladies have that sell sexy lingerie?? No where I know of on the high street. That's why we have 'special catalogues' it also means we don't have to trawl through 500 pages of clothes we can't but yo find the 10 pages of plus size clothing.

Perhaps it id The same at the other end of the market, the sub size 10 woman etc but I'd wager you still have more choice than us chunks.

Asda - George - 60 Denier Opaque Hold ups...Small, med, lge/xl £3.00

These are the best I have come across in years. Have been buying them now for the last few years, can even be placed in the washing machine and I have tumble dried them too. When you take them off put the tops of them back together and wash.

I am a size 18/20 with large thighs, so I buy the lge/xl. They are so comfortable that once they are on they stay until I decide to take them off ( even survives my gushing..lol ) My skin is not pulled in tight or dispersed elsewhere. Wouldn't even know I had them on. They have one large band of rubber which I find best for me.

well that shows there a market for them.why don't their buyers get onto and do more.think there is a real business opportunity out there gagging for a market that is not a size 6 to 10 . And women 12 plus .as well as looking at leg sizes and realising we all different shapes and sizes and legs are one of those things two.lol.so should be on thigh width really and lenghty of leg.poppyxx

mmmmm with all due respect you don't even look like you need hold ups.but I guess what they saying its one size smal to medium medium to large .i think its not exact enough. If your y'all they stretch if your short they don't you have excess especially if your toned or they come up to your fanny .lol.i will say tesco finest or primark the best without rolling down currently .or I just buy crotchless body stockings .they never let you down.llolxxpoppyxx

"5ft 11...34 inch inside leg....never had a problem finding hold up stockings etc to fit....asdas/tescos/primarks all reasonable priced traders that cater for taller women when it comes to stockings..

also peacocks and new look are reasonable priced and often have a wider choice range..its all about opening your eyes and looking "

I was going to make a really helpful and informed comment, but your pics have made me lose my train of thought

Though I can't see stockings on there they might be able to suggest where you can get them.

Reading ur thread made me remember an embarasssing time when going into Tesco n my hold Ups fell down, am sure my face was bright red as everyone looked but luckily had boots on so pushed em into boots.

Since then I have bought my hold Ups from either Tesco or supedrug. Not had em fall down since hehehe.

You know that you can buy an all in one stockings and suspender set aren't you? About £7 I think in either M&S or BHS

I'm very petite , size 6 and 8 in clothes and underwear and have found Ann Summers hold ups are perfect . I buy the small and they never roll down and fit the length of my legs perfectly . Hope this helps. K x

use body glue, you get it on ebay

irish dancers use it to keep their socks up...if those feckers can river dance in em they sure as hell won't fall down during a shag.

Thank you I'll give them a try, it just becomes a bit trying spending a fortune and within 5 minutes of play they're heading south, so not a sexy look

I find that most hold ups are made for really small thighs.

It's only been recently that I've been able to find hold ups that fit

My youngest sister is a size 6 and my daughter has very small thighs too they both find that the small at ann summers fits well.
