"Is it rude just to say "no?
Would it make it less rude to say "no thanks"??" its always better to be a bit more polite,,, a gentle easy let down tends to be accepted more gracefully and then you dont get the nasty remarks afterwards |

"Depends on what the question was and how it’s said.
More times than not I would say ‘no’ was rude
For example you get a message saying "let's meet""
“”Let’s not”, would be my reply.
Not to you personally OP but to someone who asked that question and I didn’t want to meet them. |

I've tried that |

"No.
Why would I use a word of gratitude for something I'm not grateful for?
I'm often described as rude though. Even though as far as I'm concerned I'm perfectly polite "
I know exactly what you mean |

I literally had a message asking to see my dick
There was no hello, no how are you or any introduction. I found it quite rude.
So all I wrote was: 'No'
So like some peeps have said, it depends on the question. |

I do find a stark "no" rude in most circumstances. But...if people have been rude to me on here, and they frequently are, I don't even give them a "no". I think with some people on Fab, you have to be a bit merciless. Everyone else gets a polite response. |

I'd just delete that type of message and not engage at all. |

It's not rude. I actually like seeing a message with a 'no', because it provides closure however disappointing it may feel for me. I do understand that women are inundated with messages, so it is what it is. |

Then again… should we have to baby strangers because they can’t control their own temper? |

No is a complete and unambiguous sentence on its own.
People don't like hearing it because of this. There is less wiggle room for the No-sayer to be swayed into changing their mind.
More women should be comfortable with the power of No.

Even getting round to answering a message like that with 'no' is perhaps more effort than it deserves. |

In that case it's fine to just say no.
If they say 'let's meet please' then you probably should add 'thanks' on the end.
Likewise if they send a 'FAFP' message. |

"No thanks to a polite request. Just no is rude
Just no to an impolite request is fine
What if they’re not thankful for the message though? "
Still rude
Being not thankful isn’t an excuse to be rude to a polite question/request

It’s lying though, isn’t it?
No is a full and complete sentence. It’s not rude.
If someone asked you if you wanted to meet and you said Yes… that isn’t rude compared to Yes, Please. |

We can agree to disagree. It’s just my opinion |

"I just say no or ignore / delete
Not here to handhold strangers feelings of rejection "
Definitely… a “no” isn’t putting you down in any way… just means your not what they are looking for… there is someone out there for everyone |
