Okay I have to admit I’m not at all knowledgeable in coochie shaving.

I’ve just shaved mine for the first time in a year and I need to know - am I meant to be doing anything after it? Like do I need to moisturise? Or do I need to put something special on it? Every time I’ve shaved it I’ve been in agony the next day

Pls help! I’m sorry for such a stupid question

I think moisturising is standard after shaving. For me anyway.

I love the word coochie

If it is been over a year since you shaved it, yep, you will be in agony tomorrow with the itching…

Moisturising would be a good move.

May sound silly but drappoline cream is great for after shaving, sooths and moisturises

Moisturise before and after. Exfoliate too.

The best I’ve found is a humectant like vegetable glycerine and then a lotion specifically for the bits. It also will curtail any ingrown hairs.

Exfoliate before shaving

Pat dry

If you’re going to moisturise, use something that isn’t scented

Wear underwear that’s going to be soft on your skin

Use hair conditioner as a shaving medium. Very slippy for your razor to glide over, skin friendly, a bit like a moisturiser.

Moisturise a couple times per day for a few days post shave.

Wherever

Gillette Venus does daily soothing serum, you use it daily to keep the area moisturised, it’s great and no itchiness afterwards.

Would you maybe prefer to use hair removal cream? I’d recommend Woo Woo, it’s amazing. Maybe have a look and see if it’s something you’d like to try.

I rate the Gillette Venue daily soothing serum and exfoliating lotion. I’ve been using them for over a year.

I used to use a very expensive oil called fur oil but find Gillette Venus’ range to be better and cheaper.
