I have an 18 year old daughter that’s into the likes of marvel, die hard, greys anatomy….
We had a movie night not long ago and watched Shawshank Redemption and Silence of the lambs… spent so long trying to convince her that some of the older stuff is just as good as what she watches currently
What 3 films would you show your older teenager if you had the opportunity to pin them down… |

The problem is the lack of effects, or rather the impact of sfx on newer films. Older films needed watching much more than current films do, and from what I understand from my friends who have kids, expectations are high and concentration levels low. So, it will always be a challenge to persuade them that the old ones are worth watching.
But hey, she's already onto something if she's into Die Hard! |

Has she seen the original Aliens film? Maybe Long Kiss Goodnight, Face Off
My youngest is a Game Developer. Always been a huge techie. I sat him down in front of Jumping Jack Flash and Hackers as a teen. He also loved Maximum Overdrive lol |
