I don’t really know where to start. I’m pretty much passionate about a lot of things. I’m geek about a lot of geeky stuff. I think cooking is probably my biggest thing, if you’re gonna stick in your body, it might as well taste good…
Am I right ladies? |

I’m a comicon nerd, I dress up for conventions, I have collectibles, I have some tattoos recovered to the franchises I love, I have met many of the actors and actresses from the show (and my childhood crush too- my god she was tiny) and could have probably afforded to buy a house now if I hadn’t spent so much stuff on toys, pictures, photos, etc. LLAP \\//_ |

I'm definitely a geek for Star Trek and Star Wars.
I like lots of different fantasy and science fiction.
I have a comic collection. Most were bought when I was much younger and had a comic shop near where I live. I still read the comics and add to the collection from time to time when I have some spare money. |

My house is full of grey plastic. Iykyk.
I, too, have a large quantity of plastic shame.
I paint minis.
Orks or go home."
Mostly goblins and dragons |

I should probably add my actual real hobby. Because I own lots of plastic minis but I don’t actually paint them.
It’s researching history, especially art history. I’m currently researching and writing the history of a professional leisure qualification which is extremely nerdy I guess.
I also collect books related to the things I study. I now have a storage problem because when I left my ex and bought my own house I couldn’t really afford one big enough for the books. One day I suspect the floor joists will fail, but happy days until then. My books are named on my contents insurance.
And I play Videogames. A lot of Videogames. |

Star Trek, Star Wars, TMNT, Fallout and Power Rangers (and its original Japanese counterpart Super Sentai). I met Amy Jo Johnson, the original Pink Power ranger about 3 years ago. At now 53 she still looks amazing!

Oh I love really niche subjects like that. Sounds fascinating. That's the kind of real life history that you wouldn't normally hear about. Do you have a publisher or writing it on spec?
I don't know much about art history (but I know what..etc) but funnily enough I've just this morning been reading JG Ballard articles on Dali and the Surrealists. |

I am more of a nerd.
No bigger pleasure was had as a child than poring over the Encyclopaedia Britannica (amongst many other encyclopedias) during recess at school.
I know so many facts and figures that it’s my party tricks. And I am also astounded that people nowadays, despite access to so much info on social media/the internet lack so much general knowledge. |

Do you have any particular genres or writers that are favourites?"

"I'm definitely a geek for Star Trek and Star Wars."
I'm the unpopular geek who likes neither.
Star Trek mostly defies anything we know about the laws of physics, including all the most recent series/films etc. Fantastical is one thing but implying it's actually possible...oh, give me Red Dwarf or Lexx...something that doesn't take itself so seriously.
Star Wars (the original 3 films, episodes IV-VI etc) are basically Lord of the Rings retold in an even more fantastical backdrop. |

There’s a journal that will hopefully accept it (assuming it’s good enough) because I have the backing of the charity that I work for.
When I was studying my PhD I met a student who was researching the architecture in the novellas of JG Ballard. Fascinating stuff. |

That's great - good luck with it!
Oh Ballard's work touches on all kinds of arts and subjects - architecture definitely being one of them. It sounds like a fascinating PhD subject - 'Does the Angle Between Two Walls Have a Happy Ending?' |

"Comics and super hero films. Used to love dc but when marvel started the avengers franchise I swayed to marvel but recently I think both have been meh.
They've all taken a nosedive recently.

Oh the Flash wasn't that bad, it weren't fantastic obviously, but it was entertaining enough. Michael Keaton was probably the best thing about the film
Finally addressing and redressing the disappointment I always felt with the two Tim Burton attempts |

Astrophotography, I love astronomy. In the past I have mainly just set up my telescopes and directly viewed objects and recently got a little bored of it. Now I'm learning the photography side and it's sooooo difficult. It's the editing really that makes it hard.
To make it even more nerdy I setup my blue tooth speaker and listen to things like LOTR on audible. |

Was more the cgi in the flash I was disappointed in, it was just like they didn't even try compared to other dc films. Michael Keaton is batman for me, I really like the Tim Burton touches but Christian bale was a close second. Marvel used to have better stories but phase 4 is just a mess. |

After the next Doctor Strange outing, and new Spiderverse installment, I think I'll be stepping away from Marvel permanently |

After Dr Strange I haven't seen a marvel film well paid to watch one such a shame to witness the end of a wonderful franchise.

If we’re being really geeky - I love Batman comics and films, and spent have also a secret fanboy crush on Stephen Amell’s tv portrayal of Arrow.
Nerdingly my book collection consists mostly entirely of factual textbooks on ancient civilisations, very ancient history, pseudoscientific Graham Hancock esque category stuff, libraries of books on the fascinating subject of altered states of conscience and the human mind … and the entire 4 books (now a hit Netflix series) YOU - I’m not sure why.
In order to escape being too nerdy too often I balance things out by being obsessively and impulsively collecting more and more guitars and guitar equipment and more guitars, especially geeky ones…

Apple Meade you say??….
I had made one last year. It turned out more like a scrumpy. It went very dry, still nice but a need to back sweeten if I did it again.
I like the idea of fruit in it, but not happy with how much the fruit takes over. I may as just as well make a cider, or a fruit wine instead of using expensive honey. It’s damn expensive!!!! Fruit is free. |

Impossible to answer with any sincerity. Batman The Dark Knight is great and civil war was a masterpiece. But some of my favourite stories have come from Image Comics. Sunstone and unnatural being particular favourites. |

I still have a couple of the old 2000AD graphic novels.
I think my favourites were ABC warriors and Devlin Waugh. |

I have to agree there. 2000AD was great. And Americans have no idea that Judge Dredd is technically a brit. |
