Do you ever delete messages without opening them? Without reading the sender’s profile?
No trace of what they sent and never to be found out.
OR
Does the fear of missing out on the potential of something — even if it’s just what they sent without any interest —prevent you from deleting without opening a message first? |

Unless it was a single word message like "hey" or "hru", I'd consider it rude not to reply at least to say no thanks - but then I guess I don't get hundreds of (or tens or even single) messages filling my inbox. |

I’m way too curious to not see what, in this sense, their approach is. But potentially some other sense - what I might also get to understand from someone else’s POV. They’re pretty entertaining (people) on a low level . But for feck sake, aren’t people massively interesting - “Where’d you learn that” - |

People can be interesting.
If you read the message, do you feel it must be replied to? Or are you simply filling your curiosity by reading it and have nothing else attached to the plan? |

It’s a thought provoking question/statement, figured it’d be interesting spark up a conversation… |

Yes I delete some messages without opening them. It all depends on what I can read from it without opening it. I sometimes will put a note on their profile with a rough idea of what I could see in the message so I'll know to just delete if they message again.
I'll look at profiles before I even open other messages though and that makes up my mind if I delete or not.
I rarely block anyone anymore so notes are handier for me.

I delete the 'want my cock tonight?' and similar messages that have taken no thought one effort. I do try to take my time to go through messages but it's ridiculous. And I don't get as many as others, so I understand why people do immediately delete messages.
Oh the flip side, I can also see why some users cut straight to the point given that replies can be hard to receive. |

Both on here and in life, I tend to plough my own furrow mostly, as a result feelings of FOMO aren’t something that surface too much, with regard to anything.
Whether I read or not, delete or not, reply or not are based on other factors. |

Altho I sometimes accidentally delete when faffing one-handedly and its impossible to get the message back unless already chatting and have a copy in sent box still |

I have a solo guy profile in Fab. I have never been so overrun with messages, I couldn’t be bothered to open any and just wanted to clear my inbox…….(insert crying with laughter emoji) |

I read them. Whether I reply or not depends on how I’m feeling. Sometimes I just don’t feel like being sociable so will reply at a later time.
If it’s a repeat message from someone not interested in I’ll likely delete.
I don’t get so many messages to struggle replying. Is it fear of missing out that makes me reply? Not at all. How can I miss out on something I’ve yet to have? |

"I can read a huge amount of superficiality in most of your replies. Let's not complain if we get treated the same way in return. do not do to others what you would not want done to you."
So deleting unread a message reading "FAF" or "hi" is superficial? Ok. Guilty. I've had ones where they just write their name. So Bobby sends a message "Bobby". Do you think that's deserving of a reply? |

I’ll read them, mark them as unread and then delete them
Or
I’ll see what the opening line is and then delete them without opening
If there isn’t a picture attached they’re going in the bin either way |

There’s no FOMO if you can see even without opening the message that they’ve got a dick pic, no avatar, just said two or three words in their message or been graphic straight away.
Delete straight away and don’t think twice.

You can see pretty much the first sentence of a msg without opening it, so if I see the first sentence is just something graphic they want to do to me, or do I want to watch them do something on cam I just delete without opening. I do try to read my msgs on here, I usually read the msg first then check the profile then decide to respond or not, not because I'm afraid of missing out, more because I don't like deleting someones msg without at least reading it first its just how I am. Although saying all that, I am really bad at reading and responding to msgs on and off here. |

I think, in all honesty that this is a question for the ladies. You crazy bunch get inundated with messages. There would be no FOMO if I received hundreds. The first line of some unimaginative message would be enough to delete without being read. |
