Hello chums ,
How is your Saturday going?
Are you chilling on the sofa ? Back from the shops ,a cheeky peep at the football .
Are you having a jolly day ?
Home from work and been for a splendidly muddy woodland walk . Feet up now listening to the football on the wireless and then the rugby later
Taff |

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe |
Terrible. Got home from work, walked into my lounge. Glass everywhere. On the sofas, under them, and under cupboards, on the telly. Everywhere. And a bloody big hole in one of the lounge windows. Then found a rather dead pheasant behind the telly. Cannot get a glazier until next week, even the ones who operate a 24-hr service. Don't say which 24 hours, though!
Had to go and get a sheet of ply to board it up, as I'm away tomorrow for a few days. My landlord said if I board it up today, he'll sort out the glass next week.
Only saving grace is I was at work. Chances arenif I'd have been at home I would have been sat on the sofa showered with shards of glass! |

It was a pretty perfect start to the day, then himself had to go to work which was rude
So I've done some housework and watched rugby. Just have to cook the lasagne that I assembled between games and chill for the rest of the evening. So not a bad day at all.
Happy Saturday everyone |

I have had an awesome day!
I scored a gorgeous chimney pot and some really fancy ridge tiles with a beautiful finial this morning for free! (looking for a project for the tiles now )
Then i walked along the river and mooched around a charity shop, then to a health shop where I got some scrummy food for tomorrow .... Stopped at a cool cafe and had a delicious lunch & an oat latte and then on the way home i called into a charity toy shop and signed up to volunteer on my day off
Didn't even notice the rain |

One of our free weekends but staying in for a change. A slow start but getting better as the day goes on. Cuddling up with Cherry later, my hands slowly and gently massaging her breasts as we watch a movie of her choice. Burner flickering on the coffee table, lights down low, our heads full of naughty thoughts of new friends and the perfectly passionate moments we shared last week |

This sounds like a fabulous day! And I’m curious now about your tiles and chimney pot. What kind of project will you do with them? Xx |

I am thinking herbs or grasses in the chimney pot?? it is gorgeous.... I got a heavy metal /wood park bench last year to renovate.... Once the weather improves I'll replace the wood and strip /repaint the metal - so i think the chimney pot will sit next to it at the front of my house maybe
I need some ideas for the ridge tiles - there are only 15 of them - can't believe how heavy they are! |

I’ve had a great day!
I went to see my sister and we took a little trip up the town to have a look around the shops, then we went out for a late lunch.
Glad to be home now though |

You paint such a lovely picture of your home. We too have a bench out the front (although we didn’t restore it so it lacks that sense of character - and the council pollarded the Willow so it’s no longer so picturesque, I’m annoyed about this, but it’ll grow back). Ailsa collects pots and grows loads of herbs and plants. Green always looks so vibrant against the terracotta. We have a bunch of tiles too, kept in reserve for when the wind blows them off the roof, but you’re right, they are surprisingly heavy! |

I'm actually not fishing for sympathy (although you ladies are characteristically lovely for offering it). I just read the thread, and felt moved to vent.
The wine was lovely thanks, MrsAbz.
I've just had a Kraken and , but that's my booze for tonight - I don't get d*unk to Medicate my mood. Sigh.

I have had a wee break from here but I did think of you and wonder how it turned it out. Glad to hear it was a success.
Not sympathy, more empathy and a wish to make you feel just a smidge better
