What do you mean by chat threads?
Forum threads or chatrooms?
In the forums one persons sensible conversation is someone else's BS.
Some confuse productivity with popularity or think that one automatically begats the other.
There is a lot of BS because there is an audience for it and everyone knows a million flies can't be wrong. |

But I've heard utter bullshit from coworkers, friends and passing aquanitences about their weekend exploits, past experiences and fictitious tales of sexual conquests.
Some people just talk bollocks. Largely to try and impress others.
