Hi everyone. When you're chatting to someone via messages and then you see the message 'user no longer on the site' next to an older message...aside from realising you have obviously bored them to death but does this mean they have hidden their profile or deleted their profile??

The clue is in the wording!

I guessed as much. Just wanted to double check as just don't get it?! Can see it happening after the other person has received some of my pics but this is happening without any exchange of pics and whilst still in the middle of 'chatting' via messages...all bizarre!

Might be nothing to do with you, could be lots of reasons why they have left.

It just means they logged off and nipped out to the shops - usually for a pint of milk.

It happened to me this week. I've been chatting with a couple on here for a while about meeting next week, including sending and receiving face pics from our respective hotmail accounts. Everything was pointing firmly towards the meeting taking place. This morning, I logged in to find they had deleted their account on here and also their hotmail account. What was all that about? Cold feet? Or just playing games?

Things happen outside of this world that make people delete their profiles and cease contacting people. It's the NSA bit that means you just move on.

Yes, maybe so. Its still frustrating though not to at least get an explanation, or even a "sorry but goodbye".

When my ex and I split up we didn't send messages out on here to those we were talking to or had met. We just deleted the profile. Those that had become friends sent me a text or called within minutes of the profile disappearing. Those are the people I am still friends with and would have been the ones I would have contacted the next day anyway.

At the time our split was about us and not about the people we had met on Fab.
