Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I thought I was slow in getting to like bands!

I highly recommend the Back in Black album and the Highway to Hell album. Different singers (their first singer died. RIP Bon) but both very good.

If you want Blood is a superb live album featuring Bon Scott.

As for the Brian Johnson led stuff, Back in Black or Hell's Bells should see you further your education

Go straight for Live at Donington. End of.

Also consider checking out some other under-appreciated, equally obscure bands you msy have missed such as Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and Deep Purple.

Seriously though, do check out Airbourne. They're like ACDC except with a rocket up their arse

For some great Heavy Metal look for further than the the likes of:

Whitesnake - Slide It in, Come & Get It

Saxon - Denim & Leather, Wheels of Steel

Rainbow - Long Live Rock N Roll

Judas Priest - British Steel

Def Leppard - Pyromania

Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast

Michael Schenker Group - MSG

Van Halen - 1984

And for something rock but less heavy

Judie Tzuke - Welcome to the Cruise, her debut LP which knocks the like sof Adele and Amy Whitehouse into touch

Before you buy anything you must listen to some facts. AC/DC`s songs are ment to played live cos they sound a lot better and you feel the soul of the beat and meaning of what they intended to blast out. So I would recomend if you won't blood “Bon Scott” and live at donington “Brian Jonson”. Don't forget to turn it up don't worry about people living close by they will love you for it.

I was lucky enough to see AC/DC at Birmingham Odeon, possibly Bon Scotts last gig before his untimely death .. could never get used to the sound Brian Johnson added to the band and I drifted away from listening to them!

Was offered some free VIP tickets to see them a couple of years ago at the NEC .... sooo wish I hadnt bothered going, like watching 'open mike' night at an old folks home!

Back on topic...

Back in Black (the album), Live at Atlantic Studios (if you can get it, not sure if it was exclusive to the 'Bonfire' box set) and Highway to Hell are a good place to start !

There's a bootleg 'Best of...' out there too (called Warning ! High Voltage), about 40 songs, 1 cd of Bon, the other of Brian !

As far as AC/DC go there is only one way to listen to them

Then down load them all the way through to

Me, I am off to Planet Gong"

Now there was a class band...Gong...also known for an album as Planet Gong...nothing like AC/DC though...lol

Other classy bands that maybe of interest to AC/DC lovers would be Rhino Bucket (check out Hey There and One Night Stand on youtube) and Jackyl (check out the song Lumberjack and Dirty Little Mind)

So found a shop over here and brought today AC/DC LIVE , awesome cd, will be going back in the near future to buy other albums.

Wasn't sure between "highway to hell" and "for those about to rock[we salute you]" though for my next purchase?

I was brought up listening to AC/DC and at the age of 24 I am a massive fan having seen them 3 times live in recent years, once with my Dad who suddenley turned into a 20 year old when they came on, he was so excited bless him.

One of those bands that really stand the test of time

High voltage is a brilliant album. To be fair though you can't go wrong with any AC/DC album
