Mine went up this year (£450 fully comp with no claims protected). The discount for females has been removed and premiums have been leveled for male and female i believe, but that means although mine has gone up, ive not heard of any male drivers saying it went down for them.

Mines dropped by half this year! For the last 3 years I've stayed with the same comp, well not any more. I always shopped around previously and changed annually and now going back to doing so, no point in staying with the same as there is no such thing as a loyalty bonus.

Max protected no claims, no convictions/ accidents..all the usual extras and its a merc e class, just a tad under 200

When we got our second car, a MK1 MX5 as a toy, I was going to insure it third party only but the quote was only about 1£10 less than fully comp so I increased the excess on fully comp to the maximum I could, £600 I think, which brought the policy down to about half. With the added benefit over third party that we have windscreen cover.

Which gives them the perfect excuse not to payout if you make a claim.

500-600 for an automatic 1.6 vauxhall astra. 2 years no claims, 3 points on license and had a crash last year but not at fault. The co-op. My original insurance company wanted 2500 for renewal, oh how I laughed at them as I put down the phone.

That's illegal too. Insurance companies have started doing checks as do the DVLA. Best advice is to change address

Er no, unless you don't exist at your real address. All that means is that you've committed another offence by not having your licence at the correct address. Insurance companies have access to all sorts of records for fraud detection purposes.

If the vehicle is regestered at the same address as the insurance it is not illegal and the driver can abode were they like!

Always shop around - renewal quotes are always over inflated as insurers hope a few will just simply accept & not look for a better deal

But is the car left there over night if not you are committing insurance fraud and you said you did not live at the address so you are driving under false driving license
