Hi there forumites

How best do you send an introduction seduction on your first message of POI?

I see many of us moan about how important a first message is. What tips you got?

As trying to get more people to interact on here but successfully.

Talking is therapy.

Incredibly badly based on past history

Historic success here has come from being on the forum. I don't think anyone I've approached outside here has ever responded

Try thinking that you're trying to muscle in on a conversation at a social gathering and you're keen to understand something about what your 'prey' has just said (i.e. something in their profile). Compliment them on something in their pics or profile then ask an open question about that something which has sparked your interest.

Not a bad comment. It's kind of what I do when I can be arsed. But it's the age old conundrum of how much to write. Short and sharp doesn't always work, neither rambling trying to sell yourself. Horses for courses.

The "open questions" are better than the "closed questions" for sure.

What, how, when, where, who (careful of "why" - it can be confrontational) encourage more info volunteering from the other person.

Anything that invites "no" or even "yes" means you have to work harder on the next message (did you do that? Have you gone there? Do you like penguins? They can all be answered "no" and then you're reading the reply thinking "OK- shit. What do I say now?").

And compliment something on their profile you think you may have a mutual interest in. It opens up the opportunity of rapport building.

And if there's nothing on their profile that appeals, apart from maybe something physically attractive, be honest with yourself about whether that physical attraction is enough for what you would like from them, and what you can offer in return.

It's a minefield - but the explosions are part of the fun sometimes .

Good luck .

"Have personality."

Preferably not the kind that makes people avoid you at parties.

It's always good to chat. Unfortunately some people on here don't even have the manners to reply. Even not interested no thank you.
