I do.
A few years ago at breakfast the delightful male half of a couple gave me a belated Birthday present - one of my favourite photos of him featured a pair of wonderful socks. There they were, wrapped and smelling of him.
I still have them. Always will.
(My second favourite are dark green and thigh high but there's no sentiment attached to them. ) |

"Do you have a favourite pair? Why are they your favourites? Do you wear them the most? Or do you rotate all your socks so none feel left out?
I must know.

I have 'lucky' socks.. Which means they are threadbare now |

I still have the socks I wore when I married J so they are my favourite pair, or at least the pair I have the biggest emotional attachment to. I also have favourite socks for the when I'm going to be on my feet all day, they're a bit thicker and stop my feet aching. There's my favourite socks to wear when we go to a club or meet. These have a tiny embroidered lion/tiger on and I wear them in the hope that they will imbue me with a little extra confidence*, a bit like Bravestarr, but instead of 'strength of a bear' it's 'bravery of a lion!'

* They don't

I don't have a favourite pair or socks, per se, but I do have multiple pairs I prefer over others.
For instance, I have ones with days of the week on them, but I like to mix it up by wearing two socks each from different days, just because I'm trying to be a rebel and vaguely exciting
I also have some pineapple socks which I try to save for visits to swingers clubs and social meets. |

I can’t find them anymore but Primark used to sell big packs of black Wilson branded socks that I found really comfortable. I bought LOADS of them and kept some unopened packs in my wardrobe to replace others when they wear out. Unfortunately I’ve not long opened the last packet and they seem to have discontinued them. |

The woolly thick ones from a camping shop. I've got them on now with wool slippers and still can't feel my toes.
Or trainer socks in summer. Nothing in between! |

I'm having a sock-mare at the moment. All the ones I buy are too big. My feel haven't changed, I think I've just bought shit socks recently.
I'll be continuing my battle to find good socks. I feel this site isn't the place for this quest!!
In answer to your Q Mrs TMN, I favour black sports socks with fitted feet. |

I wear black socks, but over time I’ve ended up with pairs bought at different times from different places and now it’s a real pain trying to match them up after doing a wash. They’re all black. They all *look* the same. But when I get a pair out and put them on they’re not *actually* the same. And it’s so annoying. Different lengths. Or one’s thicker material than the other. Or one’s a snugger fit than the other so one falls down later on while the other stays up. Argh.
I think I need to throw them all out and start again. Buy myself 20 pairs at once so they all match. |

All this sock chat has warmed my heart. I have several favourite pairs. My bamboo musical socks are delightful but a little too thick for a warmer day. I have multiple pairs of Christmas socks which I wear year round. And I also have some dull socks at the back of the drawer which never get worn. I don't really know why I keep them tbh. I couldn't wear days of the week socks on the wrong day or odd socks, that would make me feel weird.
Big up the sock chat!
