I hope nobody turns him in and he doesn’t receive medical attention and the ensuing sepsis sees his demise

We were thinking the same OP.

If someone is harbouring him, then that's pretty messed up too after what he did!

No idea, but the injury looks like it wouldn’t be something you could just brush off and power on through. Must be getting help somewhere I’d guess.

If he is still alive, someone is definitely helping him with those injuries.

Did anyone see the video of him going into the supermarket to buy a bottle of water?

Can't believe nobody did a double take or asked if he was ok ?

"We were thinking the same OP.

The person harbouring him cant turn him in as they will get charged as well.

There is no record of him using his bank cards as far as I know otherwise he would have been found.

Hes not going out in public unless he has some face covering.

Hes not left the Country as far as the police know.

His face must be so fucked up now.

The chemical he threw was sodium hydroxide, much more caustic and dangerous to human tissue than any acid. NaOH dissolves lipids and once through the skin, it's nigh on impossible to flush out. His facial injury would have continued to worsen and will now be even deeper than it was on the day.

It's unthinkable that he's pushing on without aid from somewhere but look how little attention he garnered in a Tesco. Staff walked past him at the checkouts but didn't even acknowledge him.

"were his facial injuries caused by the substance?"

It's the sort of injury you'd expect from sodium hydroxide. It looks like some splashed in his own face.

The NaOH will dissolve the fatty components of the tissue it comes into contact with, this can continue for weeks or even months, depending on the concentration and quantity in contact with the individual. NaOH causes liquifaction of the tissues. It's likely also to get infected. It's likely key structures of the face such as nerves and blood vessels will be destroyed, increasing the chance of tissue necrosis and therefore also infection etc. I'd be surprised if he's got sight in that eye too.

This is the guy who sneaked in to the UK in 2016, repeatedly tried failed to gain asylum using tax payers money finally getting it simply by pretending to be Christian then was convicted of sexual assault. I’m sure when he’s caught he’ll get a good lawyer and he looked after by the kind UK tax payers.

I think given the futility of his situation and the injury he has that landing zones under bridges need checking for the £20k.

I also wonder if he is being harboured but not by friends.

Without his injury I’d say start at Cupar and work down. He’ll head North and do cash work. With the injury and public hate I don’t think he will make the end of the week.

Hopefully prompt medical treatment means they've been able to arrest the tissue injuries for the lady and children but NaOH is a really unpleasant chemical to get on the skin, in any concentration. The stuff used to pit down drains to get rid of grease buildup is pretty concentrated, hence the severity of injury. We always teach students to be even more aware of strong alkalis than strong acids because the potential for serious harm is actually greater with the alkalis. Obviously, strong acids are deeply unpleasant and dangerous but they usually remain more superficial and can generally be arrested with immediate irrigation with water. NaOH literally liquifies the tissue because lipids make up the majority of the structure of cells (phospholipids).

Check out an MSDS for NaOH.......

If someone or a group of people are harbouring him I hope they get some serious punishment as well.

If those that are harbouring him have been given asylum here as well, they need to be sent back and have that privlage taken away.

Police need to be doing more to find this person.

Maybe a stupid question but if someone was helping him to hide but then comes forward saying they know where he is.. do they still get the £20k after doing what they’ve done?

As the chemical burn on his face is likely to have not been treated properly, I would say he is either dead or dying from infection

Can't they triangulate phone signals nowadays? You don't travel around without a phone and you don't find people asking for somewhere to stay or help without calling them.

What irritates me is that £20k has to be offered at all - as if the general public sit back until something is offered or wait until it's a worthwhile amount. Its as if everyone walks around muttering 'non of m business' otherwise.

If he's staying with people, they'll have known what he's did from the news and helped him anyway. They won't get the moeny as they'll be harbouring him so wont turn him in.

They had a radio show discussing this. It is believed they know that some players know where he is. The 20k is to encourage them to make a better decision.
