I was just going through some profiles ..admiring the views 
And I clicked on a veri … and I was blocked by the person….
Has this happened to anyone else… no interaction previously ….
Do any of you do it? If a profile doesn’t fit your ‘desires’ you block to prevent contact ?
I’m honestly not complaining just wasn’t sure if this was a common thing |

Yup OP, happens to me quite often but then I block A LOT of people so I guess they just counter block me (at least that’s what I say to myself).
Last person I went to check their verifications, I was blocked by all 3 of them
I wouldn’t worry too much about it OP.

Yep. Will block anyone who states that they clearly aren’t looking for me (height, colour etc). Or if they’ve got a QoS tattoo or anything else questionable like that.
And sometimes just because their profile gives me the ick - some are hugely arrogant, bigoted, or other failings. |

I just googled QoS tattoo. It said it represents intelligence. Why’s that questionable or does it mean something else too? |

The block button is just another selection tool. We see the site as a selection tool deselection just saves time.
It would be a positive if the site offered deselection of types and preferences so you could deselect those who can see your profile meaning you nor they would feel the rejection. |

I’ve got more blocks than Lego, by people I’d never want to meet anyway. Usually because I don’t pander to their views in forums here.
I can’t be bothered to block others, especially if it’s over a forum difference of opinion. |

Yes, I block quite a lot, without contact, especially based on forum posts and dickatars.
There are some opinions and posts that show I absolutely would not get along with someone and they're not people I ever want contact with.

Why not block when you're browsing profiles if you know in your head you'll 110% never be interested in someone?
Cuts down on future search results and saves any need to delete or reply to messages should they ever try and contact you.
It's just a permanent filter, not a personal insult. |

The only slightly strange part of pre blocking I've ever come across is from people who aren't even in the same country so are therefore unlikely to ever have a discussion about meeting and I'm never going to appear on their local updates.
There are quite a few regular forum posters who have blocked me.
We have never engaged directly so I have to assume it's because they don't like my forum comments.
The strange part of it though is that they respond directly and positively to me on many threads so I'm not quite sure what blocking achieves in those circumstances.
Then again everyone has their own particular reasons so it's none of my business and I'm not losing any sleep over it.  |

Interestingly .. if they that have blocked you, you have in your hot list, when they put up pictures that get fabbed, you can still see those pictures and click on them. Must be a bug but been that way for ages lol .. |

i googled it to and it said Quality of Service but it could be Quick or Slow |
