Nr Cardiff or at Chams Darlaston |
Wolf & I are seeing a show towards the end of this month. We will have a few hours beforehand to look around. Over the years we’ve done a lot of the main tourist attractions. I can’t walk far, so whatever we do needs to be not too far from an underground station if possible.
Just wondered what others would recommend?

Camden has some interesting shops, restaurants, pubs and the market. I always end up around there when I visit London.
The other place is Borough Market down by the river, some really nice food and drink. |

I would agree with both of these. |

A walk around Greenwich park ending up at the Cutty Sark is a firm favourite of mine in london.
I understand that they are doing theatre in the cargo hold of the Cutty Sark now which sounds interesting for the atmosphere.
Cutty Sark is a tea clipper in dry dock in or right by Greenwich for those who don’t know. |

Paper Town Central, Essex. |
Many people walk around the city with their heads down or looking straight ahead just to get somewhere.
At street level, in the city, things have been sanitised and modernised.
Take time to look up. Some of the older buildings are exquisite.
There are lots of great walking tours around the city.
Also, look at Frog Tours. |

Yes, this is true. The architecture of Regent Street is beautiful (looking north from the Piccadilly Circus end) and a walk around the City of London (taking in Postman's Park and St Dunstan's in the East) shows many historic sites.
Somebody in the architecture business once told me that a flaw with today's designers is that they don't know how to finish the top of buildings with any style anymore. They just sort of "end." |

I’d say go to matinee at the theatre and make it a day of shows. Then go for a nice meal in between. |
