compliment a stranger in the street? Whilst out on lunch I passed this elderly lady, cetainly 75+ who was dressed realy stylish. She looked amazing so I told her so. She said first time anyone told her so in the street, thanked me and you could tell she loved the compliment. Not sure what made me do it but it felt good. |

If someone has fabulous shoes or amazing makeup or something that really appeals to me on a style level, I'll often compliment them on that.
If its just physical assets or overall attractiveness that draws me, I prefer not to. I know those sort of comments aren't welcome to me, so I wouldn't expect anyone else to appreciate them |

Yes, if I see a cashier with a nice jumper, new set of nails etc I say I like them.
I probably wouldn't dead out stop a stranger in the street though, no.

It was the fact that she looked amazing for an older woman and even had a beautiful vivid colour hat on, could have been on a catwalk and I like it when elderly people don't give on such things as looking good. Anyway, the main thing is that she was obviously very happy to receive the compliment. |

It was not quite like that . I was looking at some clothes in a shop window, she came to look herself and stood next to me, she smiled and was then I said it. It was not a tap on the shoulder. |

I do. I saw a woman in a dress that was obviously crochet. She looked great and I told her, she told me she'd made it her self and had them in several colours. I have told other women they look good too.
I would never compliment a man I didn't know because, ya' know |

I have complimented male colleagues before if they had a nice haircut or were wearing an unsual nice tie etc. Never a problem but obviously would not do that with just anyone. |

A woman complimenting a man she doesn't know is not recommended because it's often misconstrued |

I went in to a charity shop last year dressed in chunky boots with chains, jeans and a leather biker jacket. The manager a guy, said "I love your look, you must stick out like a sore thumb round here" . I was happy that I'd obviously made an impression on him and also hugely amused |

And you are not even 75+ Hopefully you will still do then too |

I intend to stick out like a sore thumb until they carry me out in my box |

"Yes, if someone has cracking tits or even just a smashing blouse on, I will let them know. The judge said he was taking that into consideration!" have you had a slap in the face yet for saying “cracking tits” ?

See I was thinking and was going to explain if something like this was to happen I would, it makes more sense

Something I do all the time. But always give it a moment of consideration before you speak!
Saying the right thing can brighten someone's day, but saying the wrong thing at the wrong time can easily come across as very creepy and even scare people.... |

"Yes I have and do.
I try to preface it by making sure I'm not in their personal space and always try to make it seem like they've genuinely brightened my day rather than I'm after something.
"
Indeed, and it was definately mutually happy faces |
