Are you a fan of cult horror movies? D&G is where they filmed The Wicker Man.

Nice part of the world too, and very friendly.

sexy Scotland

Fun is what you make it. Plenty goes on in D&G - music, arts & culture too. Kirkcudbright and Kippford are very pretty coastal towns IMO.

Amazing walking, cycling - road & trail, wild water swimming, restaurants- check out The Globe Dumfries, Back Street Dumfries, Laggan near Kirkcudbright, The Auldgirth Inn. Castle Douglas also great. So is further West or East....explore!

Dumfries and Galloway is lovely, but there’s a lot of coastline around Scotland and some amazing places ……. Are you specifically looking in this area, or are you open to other parts of Scotland?

Where I was born and bred. Personally I prefer the East Coast as the beaches are nicer, less rocky. Portpatrick is a beautiful little village x

Kirkcudbright is nice, fishing port & pronounced "kircudbrie" as an annoyed local pointed out.

Some very quaint & beautiful properties there & not far from more equipped Dumfries etc.

SW Scotland

Favorite part of the uk, yes it’s quiet and there’s not a huge amount in the way of swinger type fun, but the country side and outdoors are amazing.

Loads of beaches that are nice all year round too

We have similar issues with a village close to me called Brougham, which is pronounced “broom”
