Suffered for years.

Take magnesium supplements now and get maybe 1 a year, sometimes none.

I have some of these but the tablets are massive and I’ve been scared to take them lol - I do have medication that I’ve been on for about a year now and it seems to be becoming more and more ineffective

Just recovered from mine. They always last 3 days.

Trigger points are raw cheese, msg, coffee, stress and lack of sleep.

I suffer, nowhere near as much as when I was younger! I have heard that having your daith pierced ( part of your ear) is really helpful! I avoid most cheese although the younger the cheese the more likely I am to get a migraine from it. Stinky old stilton for example has no effect. Certain smells and the flickering from fluorescent tubes when they are just switching on or when the tube is going !. My daughter went through a fase for a couple of years of having random vomiting for no reason. I did a lot of research and found out you can have stomach migraines, no headache just the horrible sickness ! As she's got older that's mostly stopped and she now gets the headaches but almost no sickness.

Please… try magnesium supplements.

It’s a well researched preventative for migraines.

Not Citrate. Just magnesium.

I've had migraines since i was at junior school. First i get vision disturbances, jagged lines/fuzzy cloud then i feel sick and a horrendous headache.

I've tried loads of different meds, still do keep trying different ones, including prescription meds.

I find taking tramadol, then half hour later paracetemol then half hour later ibuprofen. I use carbonated water to take them. A migraine clinic suggested this as it helps the tablets get absorbed as a migraine causes your stomach to shut down.

I then take cbd oil.

This seems to work ok ish at the moment.

I take magnesium supplements already for a different reason. I havn't found they help in any way.

It’s also used as a laxative and causes stomach upset.

Great advice above. I was also told to drink a coffee or cola as the caffeine helps absorption of any tablets you take. Bit difficult if your stomach is already shutting down though!
