Strongly agree. You don't have to walk them when the weather is bad. Cats sit on your feet or lap and keep you warm and are good company. When I have a chat with the cat, it never argues with me or rolls it's eyes or tuts |

Some are and some aren’t. My cat is a knob lol but I know some cats that are lovely.
Same as dogs. My sons dog is a big knob but I know some amazing beautiful caring dogs |

For me, yes. I couldn't have spontaneous nights away if I had a dog - the cats will graze at their food and let themselves out to do what they need to do, and will still give me a cuddle when I get home. (And my house doesn't constantly smell of dog!) |

Cats up until you have to give them a pill
Had the most wriggly one imaginable when I was younger you got her in the blanket and before you knew it she was climbing all over the place |

Strongly agree. Cats dance to their own tune, you can leave them to their own devices for a night away and you don't have to take them for a walk in the pissing rain. And I do love to stroke a pussy and make it purr. |

Strongly agree. The don't shit in there own garden. The are really low maintenance. The are very intuitive and give you love when you need it. Seriously when I was going though the darkest time in my life He knew and wouldn't leave my side (normally he's out and about loads). Plus I've never had mice (well part from the one's he's brought me through the cat flap). The perfect pet and every house should have one. |

Cats.. Strongly agree
She loves me for feeding her
I love her for giving me love. Humans hurt each other. Cats are instinctively clever and know when I am hurting. |

"Say whether you Agree strongly, Agree, Agree slightly, Are Neutral, Disagree slightly, Disagree, or Disagree strongly with the claim in the title.
Give reasons for your opinion."
OP I just have to ask this… do you set questions for A-Level English and General Studies exams as your questions certainly sound like it |

Agree.
2 cats (furbabies) at moment, but have had both a dog and two or three cats at same time for many years.
Can handle having 2 or 3 cats but not 2 or 3 dogs? |

Never has my dog brought home a bunny, on Easter Sunday, whilst we were having an Easter Egg hunt.
Never has my dog hunted an mouse, dragged it into the house, and whilst still alive, played cat "ping pong" with it
My dog has consumed every other animals poop though (but won't eat curry...) |

Cats, I’ve got a Maine coon she’s coming up to 15 years old now and she still acts like a kitten. Every morning she comes upstairs and jumps on the bed and demands attention and lays on my stomach until I stroke her ears |

Agree, they're pretty self sufficient & easy to look after ie they come in and out themselves and don't need long walks in the rain/snow.
They're very amusing, well ours are anyway and they're still loving and snuggly.
I like cats attitudes, as In they do what they want. |

I strongly disagree, in my life I've owned both, the cat was fantastic and fun, but she would disappear for hours, a dog is like a permanent child, I got my dog at six months old, even at 13 she was like a child, I was always doing things for her, but I didn't care I still loved her. |

I strongly agree because they're so much less effort than dogs.
You don't have to walk them and they're simply less needy.
Right now for example, I'm curled up in bed, with my kitty laying right next to me, she's not hassling me to go out, or play, or anything. She's just curled up, staring at me with her big green eyes, purring quietly and if she needs to go to the loo during the night, she has her own door.
I used to hate dogs (I was raised that way, long story!) but now, I don't so much. If I remain single, I'll never have one but, if I meet someone stupid enough to want to spend their life with me, and they want/have a dog, that is no longer a deal-breaker. Ladies |

Cats are more independent & solitary....Dogs constantly crave human attention & love but tbf its difficult to match the love & loyality a dog gives in abundance..for me it's always been dogs X |

As above… you can’t beat the loyalty of a dog |

Strongly disagree. I don't mind cats, but it's hard to keep a clean home with more than one. Because they're stubborn, they're destructive regardless, and don't get me started on litter trays and dead animal rewards.
Dogs are easier to train, great for your mental health for longer walks if you have a working breed, and don't disappear to your neighbours for weeks on end if there's food on offer without a second thought about you. |

Dogs provide more companionship and emotional bonding than cats which seem to prefer solitary pursuits.
I much rather have a dog than a cat.
Either way, they're better animals than us human beings...! |

I strongly agree! But I also acknowledge that it's a personal preference. Everyone is different (thank goodness) having said that... Cats are the best! Love how low maintenance they can be (mostly) love how silly, cute, and interesting and intelligent they are (again mostly). I'm deffo a cat lady. |

Dogs are pets. Cats are our overlords that must be obeyed and fed. Dogs love unconditionally. Cats tolerate our presence as long as we obey them and of cause offer food. Dogs were domesticated by humans. Humans were domesticated by cats. |

"I prefer dogs. I don't really mind cats, but tend to find cat owners are inconsiderate antisocial bastards who let their pets roam the neighbourhood shitting in other people's gardens."
Lol this made me smile. I'd deffo keep my cat indoors cos it's not great to find cat shit in your garden, I agree. But lol we're not all inconsiderate antisocial bastards hehee |

Agree. Got four house cats. We have a catio for outside space. Two of them absolutely love belly rubs. One of which will chase me upstairs and meow for attention. Best thing is I don’t have to take them for walks in the pissing down rain |

"Today I have already walked 6miles because of my dog. This would not happen if I had a cat. "
I do usually similar distance , but over the day with mine.
There’s an app that gives rewards for taking dog out an hour a day and got some vouchers for coffee shops out of it. |

Agree. I love dogs but they’re soooo much work! They’re also always happy which is fine but I like the complicated relationship with a cat. Are you being all cute because you want a cuddle or is a trap because you’re planning on going for my throat if I stroke you? That’s the fun |

"Dogs all day long.
I hate cats, one keeps shitting on my lawn I worked hard to grow, but apparently I’m not allowed to poison it because it’s someone’s pet
The mr "
Yup, and I'm not allowed to kill the dogs that shit in the local park, high street or on my driveway. |
