Now as someone who has a great face for radio I wouldn't normally comment on others... But what's the dealio now with so many young women having the suction lips and fucking huge glue on eye lashes.? Is it a fashion thing? |

Yes it's fashion.
In the seventies we used to pluck our eyebrows to a very thin line, looking back it was horrible but we loved it. What with that and the 'feather cut' I thought I was the bee's knees |

"I’d have the lashes if they didn’t irritate me, I love them, and saves faffing with mascara. Not the lips though. I like my lips as they are. "
I bought magnetic false lashes. They do work but I just can't get them right and ended up looking very odd (er) so I gave up |

I've had too many surgeries on my eyes now to want anything other than normal make up near them but I'd have them like a shot otherwise |

But I'm old-fashioned I suppose.
I don’t have the natural beauty thing though chunks . I look and feel much better with make up on. "
For you - I'd make an exception.

If every man told women what he really thinks about them without worrying about her "feelings" or not getting laid, we wouldn't be in this mess lol |

No, they do it in their privacy at home to enjoy the view in the mirror and take them out in public. |

I see...
I would have thought that if they're doing it in the hopes of attracting men and it's not working they'd stop
If they're doing it because all their mates are (which in fairness is why I used to pluck my eyebrows and got a feather cut) then they've achieved their goal
If they're doing it just because they like the look they've achieved their goal also. |

Ah I see. I don't wear makeup most of the time but I don't think I look more lovely without it. I also think sometimes there's a discrepancy between what people think is "natural" and what isn't it.

Take it this way: If I were made to choose between 2 women to shag, one had saggy boobs and the other had a perfect pair made of silicone, I'd choose the all natural saggy boobs. |

Ha! That's a good way of putting it. I wish more men on the fora (I'm assuming you're the male half but could be wrong) would be comfortable/happy with stating what it is they like without worrying about offending others nor putting others down.
I get why they don't, the nonsense that can occur when they do. But I like when people say actually, I like this. Or that. |

No, I don't think so. With the greatest respect and all that seeing as you're a mod.
There are a few who openly state oh I like this, a few who don't really have a preference and a few more who openly say what they don't like. Loads though? No. I've not seen loads, far from it.
I'm well aware it may be my confirmation bias and try to stay open to the fact I could be wrong...
I don't think I am though. |

The bbw threads - a lot of them are just the same people saying hi to each other. Circle jerking over the same people. Actually I'll do a thread about it. Not about bbws. |

Start from the end of the wing and bring the eyeliner inwards to your eye! Instead of doing the lid first and flicking out |

Like others have said on this thread, I like the natural look. I would never begrudge any woman applying make up to enhance her features as she sees fit. Personally I like none/next to no makeup. But I’m particularly not keen on more permanent enhancements (ie things that don’t wipe off at the end of the day). I believe there are a great many women out there who don’t appreciate how naturally pretty they are.
Of course everyone should do what makes them happy, but I wonder if make up is now seen as the norm and none makes a woman feel plain/naked?
I spend a lot of time looking for love on normal dating apps and I avoid the lip-fillered duck pouters. Sorry if that comes across as insensitive, it’s not meant to be. I prefer a natural smile.
But that’s just me and I’m hardly vogue cover material |

Eyelashes- I have one word… demodex.
The filler situ is getting ridiculous now. Some truly beautiful young women getting their faces disfigured in their 20s.
Would never use either but of course I am ancient.
I do rock the winged eyeliner though |

I think the overuse of filler is going to result in some women having some odd horizontal wrinkles around their mouths when they're older |

That's a great tip about the winged eyeliner! I love the look but can't get it right and wonder if it'll look comical with my oriental eyes?
A tip for false eye-lases, cos I use them a lot... Break the back of a fresh pair into the shape of your lash line. That way, it should just sit perfectly on your lash line and not have to make any adjustments. |

Any cosmetic enhancement that makes day to day activities difficult seems a bit counter productive to me. I saw a picture of a Kardashian the other day with nails so long that she wouldn't have been able to perform tasks such as preparing food, washing up etc but that's probably the point. It's saying 'look, my status and wealth is such that I don't have to perform mundane tasks'.
I wonder if a lot of these enhancements are about more than just looks |

If I had a pound for every man who told me I had disfigured myself with my tattoos, that I was too muscular, that I had too much make up on, or not enough make up on… well… I’d have an awful lot more tattoos, some fillers, permanent makeup, and a nicer gym membership.
So many men seem to think the way a woman looks is anything to do with them.

Don't worry. most men realise that it is mainly to do with how women want to appear to each other.
For the record, I cant abide false eyelashes or even mascara.
Same goes for false nails or nails any longer than sensible women would be happy to see on men.
If I see anything of that nature on dating site profiles, I move swiftly on.
Luckily I manage to find female friends who are naturally attractive.
Sadly, One of the drawbacks of sucropaternalism is the realisation that, sometimes, men find themselves financing these fads. |

The thing is, you’re not just expressing your likes and dislikes.
If I say “I don’t find tattooed men sexually attractive” then that is expressing my sexual preference in a polite way.
If I start a forum thread saying “I don’t understand why men disfigure themselves with tattoos to impress women, they should leave themselves natural because natural is better” then that has gone beyond expressing a sexual preferences and is instead being nasty and judgmental. |

Oh it is very ok to look a spade a spade in my book. Even advisable. You can commit a suicide with your body. If I find it awful I am free to tell you so. You have no right to limit my freedom of expression especially what I see wrong and right so you can feel good about what you do. |

That I suppose was the thought of the op. Some look lovely as is and some look disfigured with the Vast quantity of make up and lips. I was watching one such trying to take a swig from an evian bottle and she didn't seem to be able to find the hole between her lips so pumped up were they. Her choice of course but...
And it’s remarkable that there are so many judgemental people on a site like this where I’m sure we’ve all faced or feared being judged for our lifestyle.
You're free to do whatever you want with your body. Equally they're free to move their lips in whatever fashion to express their thoughts, likes and dislikes

How about mascara?
False nails?

So, let’s get into this because this is actually interesting.
You say that these women are “disfiguring” their body.
A common definition of disfigure means to spoil something.
If something is spoilt or not is a personal opinion, therefore if something is disfigured or not is a personal opinion.
Therefore it is impossible to speak the “truth” on this subject, because if something is disfigured or not is completely down to person opinion.
Your opinion can be your own personal truth, but it cannot be objectively true or false. |

And actually the idea of a body being spoilt is even more interesting. Because spoilt means to reduce the value of something.
Can you reduce the value of a human? No, I don’t think so. Humans all have intrinsic value that can’t be taken away by someone’s personal opinion. |

Jullian Assange was accused of grape to kill his character. When that didn't turn people away from the facts he was stating, they found excuses to take away his freedom in order to silence him. But the one think they couldn't do is to make an actual argument against the facts he dared stating.
You can not like something without being nasty though
I don’t like tattoos or lip filler or fakeness either
See? I just said I didn’t like it. I gave my preference without being nasty about it. It’s that easy
If people get upset about your preferences, that’s their problem
If they get upset because you expressed those preferences in a nasty way, that’s a you problem " omg you've upset me I'm crying over here....... Wheres my bucket |

...I don’t particularly like tattoos, moreso on women but it’s not ok to say you’ve disfigured your body with those tattoos or they look awful.
Not in my world it isn’t anyway.
What is nasty and judgemental about stating the obvious?
If you look back to what I was referring to, it was the person who said men had told her she had disfigured her body. I didn’t say people

Your judgement of me is irrelevant and insignificant. Either what I said was true or not. Is the only thing that matters.
Your opinion can be your own personal truth, but it cannot be objectively true or false." i am sorry I'm trying to read your point but your beautiful bum keeps pulling me away |

Your opinion can be your own personal truth, but it cannot be objectively true or false.
And actually the idea of a body being spoilt is even more interesting. Because spoilt means to reduce the value of something.
Can you reduce the value of a human? No, I don’t think so. Humans all have intrinsic value that can’t be taken away by someone’s personal opinion."
What's your honest opinion about what Michael Jakson did with his body? Did he make himself look more beautiful by becoming a fake white or did he just display his self rejection to the world? |

I don’t have any problems with what michael Jackson did to his body. Any speculations on his mental health or psychological issues would be wildly inappropriate for me to make. |

I would be too afraid that fillers etc would go wrong, to use them.
Done well, I think it can enhance beautifully.
The line between what I consider a natural-look, and an over- inflated-look, is a fine one, and sadly some people don't know when to stop, or get addicted, or have a skewed idea of beauty, in my opinion.
I think its a shame because a lot of naturally beautiful women seem to feel the need to go too far in their quest for beauty, and it just looks fake. |

To be honest, this thread is more about latent misogyny than anything else.
People (guys) stating what they think about women’s bodies and what the guys think the women can do with them. It’s none of anyone’s business, other than the woman’s.
Having an opinion or making unwelcome comments about someone else’s body, especially when they’re value based comments is objectifying and sexualising them. You don’t get to comment or judge what anyone else is doing with their body |

"I’d have the lashes if they didn’t irritate me, I love them, and saves faffing with mascara. Not the lips though. I like my lips as they are.
I bought magnetic false lashes. They do work but I just can't get them right and ended up looking very odd (er) so I gave up
Do you need metal implants so the magnetic lashes stick? "
No you just use magnetic eyeliner
I do have metal implants though, in my spine. |

Of course, the irony is that you can't even tell that most breasts have been enhanced. They certainly don't feel like a 'plastic bag.'
You have roughly two options with breast implants. You get the ones that look obviously like they've been implanted, and you get the ones where you just can't tell - like the type they usually use for things like breast reconstruction after cancer.
Personally I'd get the ones that look fake. If I'm spending all that money, I want people to know I've spent it. |

"Now as someone who has a great face for radio I wouldn't normally comment on others... But what's the dealio now with so many young women having the suction lips and fucking huge glue on eye lashes.? Is it a fashion thing?
But that’s just me and I’m hardly vogue cover material "
