Just had a a glass...and it took me back to my childhood, to a cold winter day, and the market square where I used to live, Christmas tree all lit up, market stalls all set out and when we'd had finished shopping mum would take me to the little cafe by the Square for a plate of chips and a hot vimto. Funny isn't it how some tastes, smells and sounds can take you right back to a specific time and place? Its made me feel both happy and sad at he same time.  |

my mum and dad used to take me to a place in Morecambe for hot vimto when I was a little lad... fab childhood memories.
I love it to this day, especially on cold days ...

i always sqeeze some fresh lemon into my hot ribena...and the smell of beetroot cooking takes me back to my mum and dads greengrocers shop ..ooh and how many of us of a certain age remember the smell of the wrights coal tar vapouriser..

Vimto was better out of a glass bottle than it is out of a plastic bottle for some reason.
Actually all drinks taste better from a glass bottle, Coca Cola and Irn Bru springs to mind. |
