My girlfriend loves Miranda and I usually end up watching it... just because it's on 
Although part of me agrees with the OP, it is very funny at times. The tsp/tbsp bit in the episode where she cooks was comedy genius! |

Comedy is a strange thing one persons miranda is another's mrs browns boys!!
For me Miranda Hart is great at delivering a line and doing slapstick in the old morecombe and wise / french and saunders way, does a pratfall better than most.
I don't think she's the best on tv comedy wise though and the last series was poor in comparision to others, She has a place on BBC primetime.
Shes far less offensive and less dire in content and delivery than the tumble shows such as Mrs browns boys and My Family which seems to have been the staple BBC1 comedy sitcoms over the past few years, which is appalling!!
Its a shame as all the cutting edge gold comedy now seems to be coming out of either channel 4 (peep show, VIP) or the states (parks and rec, louie, curb), bbc2 has had some moments of genius such as "the trip".
just as a point its always funny if someone else steps in dogshit

She rules in our house. Actually thats probably cos our house is a bit like mirandas house! Got tickets for her show in jan cant wait. Only wish patricia hodge was there too shes the best! Such fun! |

Did anybody see her doing a Strictly performance for Comic Relief last night? It was really funny because she could not do much due to an knee injury but it was still quite funny as they were doing the routine from Dirty Dancing.
I kind of like her - she has grown on me bit by bit. |

The Mrs is a big fan if hers, so much so we had to sit thought series 1 on DVD.. And to befair there are a lot of female ccomedians that are a lot worse. Its light hearted comedy.
One thing we have adopted is the '..... Are we' lines. " sad but fun. |

Miranda Hart has become famous in the same way as the Emperor in his new clothes.
Someone says she's funny and all the sycophants laugh and nod.
She is green welly, twin set and pearl necklace humour.
There's a limit to the number of times that I can find a painfully stupid adult even mildly amusing.
I cringe at Mr. Bean and could punch his fucking lights out. SHE isn't as funny as him.
Plain embarrasing. Holding on to the shirt tails of others. The world's a funny place. |

It's time we stopped taking it all so seriously. Cancer is no longer the death sentence it once was yet while we whisper the word or refer to the Big C, we invest it with more fear factor then we need to. |
