Does anyone use it & what sorts of things are you guys writing on there I'm curious to know

Back when I was part of a couple, we used the private notes functionality extensively; it was a game changer for how we used Fab; the scene in northern England was prolific at the time, a lot of swingers, clubs and private parties.

We’d also date the notes so we’d know when/what people had said, done, not done, blanked us mid conversation, no shows for dates.

It was truly amazing, especially when someone would either forget or think we’d forgotten and then message us out of the blue!

We’d quickly remind them via our notes that they’d ghosted/blanked/no-showed etc and the number of excuses were hilarious; my favourite was the flat out denial, though they knew they’d been busted!

F2F at clubs or parties when they’d tell you their Fab name, one of us would check our notes during a quick toilet break and often people would lie through their teeth to squirm out, it was great sport!

The number of lies people would tell, (sorry guys but mostly single men), to try and meet with us was also unreal; name changes, bisexual, then straight then gay, single then married then recently split up!

That said, we did encounter some single women who lied themselves into a corner and then deleted their profile; only to message us again days later! Perhaps tellingly, it never happened with couples, almost everyone was exactly who/what they said they were on Fab if you met them F2F.

One guy even told us his mum had died as the reason for pulling out of date that took weeks to arrange; of course we just assumed it was true, who lies about their mum passing away, he then disappeared into thin air.

Months later he messaged us and my ex got to his message first, she asked him how things had been since his mum, his reply “oh she’s great, thanks for asking, how’s is your mum”

Well, if my message to somebody gets rejected.

I Block them & use Private Notes to remind me not to message this person again. Especially if I was rejected for a specific reason

No u don't but that's not a bad thing as most of my notes are somewhat negative!

I use it for things like personal details i might want to remember (names, birthdays etc).. I sometimes use it to remind me of fab connections too

I often note down if they're an idiot, especially on the forum. I can then just roll my eyes next time they're posting nonsense as I'll know they're just an idiot.

Then sometimes where I know them from other places, discord telegram groups etc.

Real names and details etc too.

We only use it for if we message a couple and they don't message us back or after chatting to them for whatever reason we don't click.

It's just a gentle reminder so we don't message them again.

I mostly use it to note when I’ve messaged someone and they either deleted or said no thanks. It stops me from forgetting and pestering them again. I’d rather not block because they may change their mind in a year or two and I’m fine with that.

Or sometimes people say not now but try us in six months.

I use it a lot

To record if a guy has not turned up for an arranged meet

If someone has been abusive to me in the forums, chatroom or by message.

If someone is nice

If someone is horrible.

It would be more useful if the existence of a note, as well as whether you’d fabbed pics, were made more prominent. It’s otherwise really easy to miss, at least on mobile screens.

Yep for names, what we've chatted about etc.

If someone identifies themselves as cheating in a forum thread and it's not in their profile, I'll note that too.

I also add notes on my block list so I can see why they're in there.

Sometimes I have a chat with someone that doesn't end in a meet and I end up deleting the message thread. But when I visit the profile later, fab tells me I received a reply from them months back but I don't remember the conversation.

I use the private notes to write a summary of what happened so that I don't start a new conversation and make things awkward

Yes we use it to note things like names, something that happened which made us change our mind or if they’ve been rude or said some derogatory on the forums.

We also make funny observations but we’ll keep them to ourselves

It's a fantastic tool.

When I message another Tgirl about going out to a few bars I can make note of the replies so I don't bother them again. So many change their name and look, it's not always easy to keep up and just seeing that you messaged and they replied, doesn't cut the mustard.

I've got things on like:

Doesn't go out dressed.

Not actually in this area.

Will only go out if I pick them up, chauffer them and drop them off.

Works most Saturday nights, but ask about a Friday

Click on somebody's profile, top right click on menu, drop down list.....private notes. A box will appear to write in. Don't forget to click 'save' when you have written your note.
