Why understand that the forumites only make up a small percentage of fab do you or have you created a forum persona that makes you appear:
Aloof
Compassionate and caring
Argumentative
Rude
Happy
Angry
Or anything else.
Do you try and remain the “real you” and are you concerned how others view you on here.
It’s been interesting reading threads on people leaving or potentially returning and other peoples views on them.
Me personally, I have been on and off here for over 8 years and know quite a few people from here. I try and be me, definitely naive at times and sometimes sensitive, hence the breaks |

The only difference between online me and offline me is that offline me is very shy and instead of being sassy straight off the bat, it instead takes me awhile (weeks) to relax enough in someone’s company to let that shyness wear off.

Some great replies and moving it on a little bit then so do you allow your mood at the time to govern how you may reply to a thread.
This may make it a harsher or more empathetic response than you’d normally give.

I find any persona I might have is built for me through the perspective of other forumites..... they are generally WAY off the mark and tend to pick out a single strata of another human being and push that forward . |
