Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

Make sauce and bottle it. It will last until next time you have too many apples.

Apple crumble or pie, but, with a layer of caramel between the apple or pastry, lattice pastry top to the pie is good.

Roast the apples with some brown sugar, put resulting mush into jars and top with vodka. Leave to work it's magic for several months and then seive and bottle. Baked apple vodka is delicious!

"Roo with apple sauce."

Hilarious, but it's a bit expensive in Manchester.

Also wrong flavour profile entirely.

In School we once made a desert called Apple Snow. Never heard of it before or since. It involves meringue. And apples.

Oooo apple tart......

*Finely slice or mandolin 4 dessert apples in round slices.

*Heat 200g of apricot jam and coat apple slices.

*Arrange nicely on a sheet of puff pastry.

*Cook at bottom of oven (200degC) for 30 mins scattering sliced almonds for the last 5 minutes.

*Serve topped with vanilla ice cream.

So easy, fast and looks banging
