The man who went round his mates to see him filling a hole in the cellar floor and thought the bloke had burried his wife.
He dug it up to prove he hadn't and his mate was convinced... then he did bury his wife in it when she came home! |

That put me in mind of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", but when I googled it, they were from the 60s, and I'm too young to have seen them first time round so I must have seen them as repeats - also old episodes of The Twiglet Zone - my fave was the one with William Shatner and the gremlin on the plane - scared me shitless, but again must have seen it as a rerun seeing as I'm only *coff* 39 *coff, coff* |

They even made a full length film of The "Twiglet" Zone, in the eighties. 4 or 5 episodes back to back, each with different directors. It was brilliant, creepy, but brilliant. I like to watch it with a packet of pork scratchings. |

"The one where this woman uses a frozen leg of lamb to club her hubby to death them cooks the evidence and the police help her eat it. "
After I battered my ex with a frozen salmon I thought about that story. I would have sat up all night eating that fish if I'd killed him! |

The snail one was really too creepy.
The fruit at the bottom of the bowl is the one we quote in my family if someone is being a bit OCD about something.
R4 had a little series reading some of them. I remember going out to buy Switch Bitch to read some of them after watching Tales of the Unexpected. |

"Best one was the guy with no fingers and a Jaguar Car."
Interesting the vehicle memory. Several in my brain are etched. The mustard yellow 3.5 rover cropped up loads! |
