When I posted on my status that I was doing some landscaping, suddenly every man who messaged me was a landscape gardener offering to do the work for free with nothing required in return.
When I posted on my status that my car has had to go to the garage, suddenly every man who messaged me was a mechanic offering to do the work for free or a substantial discount with nothing required in return.
Anyone ever taken up offers like this on here before and actually had the work done to a good standard without needing to shag them as payment? |

I once wrote that i was a tattooist…I am.
Amazes me what people would do for free ink without even checking out if I was any good
Sadly I had to decline because my mortgage needs paying with money and not sexual favours |

I'd be happy to enjoy the sex, as part of a roleplay quote . But I'd be cautious about having work done that needs a professional, whilst blurring the boundaries that helpfully exist, when we get jobs done.
I've had some painting done though |

"Plumbers, electricians. Mechanics, gardeners…
I’d never take them up in their offers though. I’d mever give my address to a total stranger just in response to a status. "
I'll put my power driver away then. |

"I do wonder why people would put that kind of status on here"
Why not? It’s just chatty isn’t it?
I have people I know on my friends list and it’s just a way to talk about your daily life and what you’re up to. |

You could always message them and tell them to stave off the offers |

Perhaps you could prepare some guidance for the rest of us for which status updates are appropriate and which are not. |

There's a lass round here who's always complaining something needs doing...her status's often become thankyous later on. She even puts up when she's skint or if she can't afford a new site supporter pass, she'll usually have one later that day.
Who are these absolute fking simps that fall for the begging? |

Not free work as such, but i once saw a couple who'd asked for a lift, i had some free time so i offered with nothing expected in return, picked them up and dropped them off at their house, they did ask me if i wanted to come in for a coffee but i politely declined, it was simply a lift with nothing expected in return. |

To be clear, we did NOT solicit for free labour etc. when a person from this site offered their help. Free of charge. No "favours" asked. Just tea and biscuits provided.
There are some genuinely lovely and kind and very generous people in the world. |

The one time I was out due to a serious injury... yikes.
(I've had friends from here do me favours, but absolutely not in the random offers in messages way. More in a "I've known you a long time, I like you, and I want to help you" way. I've done the same in return. It becomes not a Fab thing at a certain point) |

Not randomers I've never spoken to, but have had people I've chatted to for a while offer to do stuff to help me.
When I was single and going on holiday, someone offered to see to my cats for me (I didn't take them up on it though).
I think some will be genuine in wanting to help, whilst others will want sex in return.
It's like all the men offering massages who claim their qualified and want nothing in return. I'd never take any of them up on that offer either. |

I do lots for free, if I can help out I will.
Have been taken advantage of plenty but hey ho.
If I offer to do something, and knowingly can do it properly or genuinely help then there's definitely no alternative motive. If I say it won't cost anything then it won't. If it's just my time and good deed, I'm happy to help. If parts cost money, I'll say the if it needs 'xyz' you can get them here and I'll fit or fix.
My biggest kink and vice is knickers, always has been, I'd love a genuine pair, but again, (apart from my status, always hopeful) I wouldn't expect a pair of ask for any outright for doing a favour either. If that topic ever came up, I'd pay for them on top.

I once put a status up for urgent work, staring that I was happy to pay the going rate, as i didnt want folk to think id want it done for free (i dont do the f@cebook) and I got some really shitty messages accusing me of offering sex as payment.
So now, I just put a status up & see if anyone offers to help. As KinkyCouple said above, some folk are just nice & want to help.
So, any local car mechanics out there.......

"one of my services is helping ladies put on and take off their clothes.
Just saying. "
With an ongoing rotator cuff injury asking for that service might be a good idea... |

This is the key thing to take away, there's a slim chance it's genuine. It's not worth the risk if it's one of the first few times you're meeting someone. |
