Fabs has a warped perspective of who's tall and who's short, at 5ft8 OP is definitely NOT short by objective measures.

The average British male height is only 5ft9.

Which means only 1 in 2 men would be taller than OP, with 1 in 3 being shorter. OP has a standard deviation of only -0.3! Unremarkable, yet people here have convinced him that he's a tiny stump.

For the UK (male) data they consider 6ft "kinda tall" and 6ft3 "tall". With 5ft6 being "kinda short" and 5ft3 being "short".
